Engineered in the UK, EBC Brakes Racing’s Apollo Balanced Big Brake Kits promise an upgrade in stopping power in the performance braking market. Now the kit is available for the Mk4 (ND) Mazda MX-5 (2015- ). Featuring four-piston front calipers, 330mm fully floating two-piece discs, front and rear Yellowstuff pads, braided lines and all fluid/fixtures required, the complete kits offer a firmer and more responsive brake pedal feel, the company says.

British auto designer Sterling Automotive says global demand has increased for unique car customisation. The custom car brand, which is partnered and supplied by UK-based Davanti Tyres, accentuates British design heritage, with leatherwork, metalwork and 3D-printed body panels created at its Blackburn headquarters. “As a new business, the pandemic did throw up some significant challenges for us to navigate,” said Carl Williamson, managing director of Sterling Automotive. “But fortunately we were able to launch our first vehicles – our reimagined Jeep Wrangler and our fresh Audi Q8 project – before it struck. Those vehicles really captured a lot of attention globally and we’re now seeing this translate into firm interest from both clients and the wider car community.”

Southern German Tuning Experts delta4x4 have developed a complete wheel and tyre combination that reportedly “optimizes the performance of the VW Multivan T6 on the road, as well as out there in open terrain”. The Korean automotive supplier with annual revenues of more than US$1 billion in 2014 and 3,000 employees wants to expand the production of special editions for car manufacturers and strengthen the production capacities at the historic plant in Merzig/Saarland.
