The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has commented on its selection as a GM Supplier of the Year by General Motors during its 26th annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony on 20 April.

TyreSafe Awards entries deadline extended
TyreSafe has announced it is extending the deadline for TyreSafe award entry submissions until 5pm on Tuesday 8 May, the day after the first May bank holiday.
The deadline has been moved back following requests from stakeholders and supporters to allow extra time to finalise entries, but the charity is encouraging those who wish to enter to do so as soon as possible.

Kathryn Beaurain, marketing director of wheel servicing equipment specialist Pro-Align, has been recognised by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) for her ongoing support of the IMI Skill Auto competitions. Receiving one of five awards presented at the IMI’s Annual Dinner, Kathryn received the award for her Contribution to the Work of the IMI, having supported the industry’s Skill Auto competitions for the last six years.
Cooper Tire gains two Great Wall awards
Cooper Tire Asia has earned the 2018 Statistical Quality Award and the Simultaneous Engineering (SE) Achievement Award from Great Wall Motors Company Limited. Great Wall is China’s largest SUV and pickup truck manufacturer, producing vehicles under the Haval and Great Wall brands. Cooper, which has been supplying original equipment tyres to Great Wall since 2011, was the only tyre company recognised by the automaker with these awards.
Zenises’ Harjeev Kandhari wins 2018 INSEAD Alumni Emerging Entrepreneur award
Harjeev Kandhari, CEO of the Zenises Group, has been named this year’s winner of the INSEAD Alumni Emerging Entrepreneur Award. Harjeev was selected by an independent panel of judges out of an Alumni body of over 50,000 people.
Liqui Moly tops German best brand polls
A total of 7.2 million readers in Germany have been asked to name the best oil brand, with Auto Bild, Auto Motor und Sport, Auto Zeitung and Motor Klassik all receiving Liqui Moly as the answer. “This clear vote is an award and an obligation at the same time,” says Ernst Prost, CEO of the company.
