Awards for Servicesure Autocentre garages

The Parts Alliance garage programme, Servicesure Autocentre, now has even more award-winning garages in its network, following multiple wins for Cedar Garage and Anderson Clark Motor Repairs at the inaugural Workshop Magazine Awards. Held at The Brewery in London on Monday 11 December, the ceremony recognised the brightest and best businesses and individuals working in a constantly evolving industry. Both Cedar Garage and Anderson Clark Motor Repairs were presented with their awards by former Formula 1 driver, Johnny Herbert.

Anderson Clark was the proud recipient of the prestigious ‘National Independent Garage Award’, having already won in the Scottish category earlier that evening, whilst also earning a special commendation for the business’ website.

Cedar Garage took home ‘Best Customer Care’, ‘Workshop Website of the Year’ and a special commendation for joint owner Matthew Copp in the category ‘Technician of the Year’.

This is the second set of awards that Anderson Clark has received in as many months, but nonetheless the recognition was a very welcome shock to managing director, Graham Clark. “Our industry can be tough at times, so moments like this are always a pleasant surprise!

“It’s taken a great deal of hard work over the past couple of decades to build our reputation for customer dedication, but awards like this recognise the level of effort that we’ve put in.”

Having opened more than 20 years ago, the garage is now well-established in the Highlands as one of the leading independent motor vehicle servicing and repair centres, with access to the latest technical data and diagnostic equipment.

Cedar Garage’s managing director Kevin Pearce, also expressed his disbelief at the armful of trophies his business took home: “Honestly, we had no idea whatsoever that the evening would be so successful for us!

“The one that really means the most for the business is the award recognising our customer care: ensuring the loyalty of our customer base takes a great deal of time and investment, so it’s a real honour to receive an award which acknowledges our efforts from such a respected industry publication.”

The Worthing-based garage was established in 1982 and merged with Kevin and Matthew’s existing business, Car Doctors, in April 2013. Since then Cedar Garage has invested heavily in the latest tools and diagnostic equipment, as well as seeking out the best technical talent to carry out car servicing, repairs, diagnostics and MOT testing to all makes of petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles.

Servicesure’s national network of independent garages are all carefully selected and work to a Customer Service Charter to ensure excellent standards under the watch of The Motor Ombudsman, the motor trade’s government-backed regulatory body. High standards underpin Servicesure’s unique ‘national warranty’ – which drivers can redeem with any Servicesure garage, anywhere in the UK.

Commenting on the win, Paul Dineen, head of garage programmes at The Parts Alliance said: “To be acknowledged so many times in one night at such a prestigious event is a testimony to the reputations both businesses have developed within the industry.”

Cedar Garage is a customer of Car Parts & Accessories Worthing branch whilst Anderson Clark buys from Dingbro Ltd, an associate member of The Parts Alliance.

“We once again offer our congratulations to Anderson Clark,” said Duncan Davidson, customer programmes consultant at Dingbro. “What a fantastic way to end the year!”
