Continental Tyres has activated its long-running association with international football on its Grip the Nation roadshow. ITV Sport host Laura Woods and ex-England Lioness turned broadcaster Karen Carney MBE have joined the tyre brand as the England Women’s Senior Football Team prepares for its home European Championship tournament this summer. Conti is an official partner of the England Lionesses, and has been touring the UK with its Grip The Nation roadshow. The tyre manufacturer has handed out more than 13,000 free fan packs to help clubs and fans prepare for the tournament.
Wang Feng, chairman and president of Linglong Tire, recently attended the online renewal of the company’s partnership of well-known top-flight German football team VfL Wolfsburg with Michael Meeske, chief executive officer of VfL Wolfsburg. As a result, Linglong Tire will remain ‘Global Club of Champions/Top Partner, Official Tire Partner, and Official Jersey Sleeve Partner’ of VfL Wolfsburg. Linglong also becomes the Official Team Partner Climate of VfL Wolfsburg and the Wolfsburg United project.
Tottenham Hotspur and Kumho Tyre agreed to a “long-term extension” of Kumho’s position as the premier league football club’s Official Tyre Partner at a signing ceremony at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium recently.
The long-term partnership between Continental Tire and the top-flight men’s football league in the USA and Canada has been extended, and to commemorate this renewal of the relationship during its 150th anniversary year, Continental is gifting US$150,000 to the “incredibly passionate” fans of Major League Soccer (MLS), the Club Supporters Groups.
Nexen Tire has begun sponsoring SK Slavia Praha (Prague) Football Club for the 2021/22 season. The two-year partnership kicked-off during the Club’s first home league match on 7 August. Throughout the deal, Nexen Tire’s brand will be visible at the Eden Arena, home of SK Slavia Praha.
Davanti Tyres has become back-of-shirt sponsor of JD Cymru Premier side Bala Town. Bala have enjoyed two decades of success to reach the pinnacle of Welsh football. It hopes the new partnership can help the club build on this summer’s foray into the UEFA European Conference League. Davanti said North Wales independent tyre retailers have “strongly supported the brand” since its 2015 launch, adding that the region has been “a cornerstone” as it expanded its network across the UK and into more than 70 countries. The sponsorship shows how Davanti is investing in raising its brand profile with Bala Town to actively support local retailers through its Make It Happen partnership programme. The brand, headquartered in the North-West of England is also the official tyre partner of Everton FC.

Hankook Tire has extended its commitment to the UEFA Europa League for a further three years. This third renewal of the tyre maker’s sponsorship covers the period until the end of the 2023/24 season and additionally includes the new for 2021 UEFA Europa Conference League. It will sponsor this competition via its Laufenn tyre brand. Hankook and UEFA jointly announced the partnership’s extension and Laufenn’s Europa Conference engagement following the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League group stage draw.
Gateshead Football Club has confirmed Tomket Tyres and Tyre Spot as an official club partner and academy sponsor. The partnership sees Tyre Spot extend their association with Gateshead Football Club having previously supported the club in a number of areas including as the club’s shirt sponsor, social media sponsor and official club partner.
AC Milan and Nexen Tire have announced a new partnership that will see the South Korean brand become the football club’s new tyre partner in the Italian market. The announcement follows a positive season for the ‘Rossoneri’, which saw AC Milan secure a second-place finish in the top-flight Serie A championship and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

German Bundesliga club and Europa League contestant Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Kumho Tyre (as Kumho Tire markets itself in Europe) have extended the sponsorship contract they began in 2019. Kumho thus continues to be the club’s exclusive tyre partner as well as its sleeve partner in the German Football Association cup competition, the DFB-Pokal.
