Falken Tyre sponsoring Bundesliga newcomer
Falken Tyre Europe has entered into sponsorship agreement with German football club FC Ingolstadt 04. The team has been promoted to the premier Bundesliga league for the 2015/2016 season after winning the country’s second-division league last year, and Falken says the new two-season partnership will serve as the “spearhead of a strategic sales sponsoring programme in the football sector” that will see it participate in further advertising and hospitality campaigns with European clubs.
As a FC Ingolstadt 04 premium sponsor, Falken will be official tyre partner and the sole tyre industry advertiser at the club’s home stadium, Audi Sportpark. It will be represented via a range of mediums, including LED display board advertisements. These will, for the first time, show off the brand’s new design.
“We are really looking forward to working together with FC Ingolstadt,” shares Masatsugu Nishino, president of Falken Tyre Europe. “This is where two young and upwardly mobile brands are getting together, both of which have chosen a successful path towards further development. The sponsoring package offers us excellent possibilities to not only present our brand to local fans in and around the Audi Sportpark but to also further expand awareness of our brand on a nationwide basis.”

In addition to this latest partnership, Falken is already active in Germany’s football scene through its association with the ‘Hattrick – Die 2. Bundesliga’ show, which highlights the country’s second-division football league on television channel Sport1.
