“Fake parts” have risen to become a multi-billion-pound problem affecting the safety and performance of vehicles in motorsport and on the road, according to European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) estimates. January’s Performance & Tuning Car Show at Birmingham’s NEC will hold a forum at which consumers can seek expert advice on this worrying trend.
Toyo Tires has lent its support and tyres to the Mission Motorsport team competing in the Race of Remembrance event at Anglesey circuit. As the name implies, Race of Remembrance sees ex-service personnel and veterans competing a 1,000km endurance event at the notoriously demanding North Wales track. Toyo supplied the Milltek Sport/Mission Motorsport/KPM Racing MkVII Golf R, which was piloted by British Olympian Sir Chris Hoy; British Paralympian Jon-Allen Butterworth; GT racer, Tom Onslow-Cole; Paul White; and Jade Edwards.
Derbyshire based exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport will field a “special” lineup at the Race of Remembrance (RoR) at Anglesey on 12 and 13 November, the company states. Jon-Allan Butterworth, fresh from his Paralympic successes at Rio will be joined by Sir Chris Hoy as team mate in a VW Golf racecar prepared by Milltek Sport, Strata 21 and KPM Racing.
Milltek Sport has announced a brand new cat-back exhaust system for the Porsche 911 991 GT3. The system can be specified in a number of different configurations, with the option to re-use the OE Porsche trims or replace them with Cerakote black GT-100 trims, Polished GT-100 trims, or Titanium GT-100 trims. As a performance exhaust manufacturer, Milltek Sport says the 991 GT3 fitment is highly significant, as it might well be one of the final naturally aspirated Porsches.

Exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport has released a new stainless steel exhaust system for BMW’s range-topping M4. Milltek said it had focussed R&D on providing a system that balances looks, power and sound for the popular tuner car.
Milltek Sport has released details of its new complete exhaust solution for the E39 BMW M5. The super-saloon, widely regarded as one of the finest cars ever made, has been out of production for over a decade now, a fact Milltek says will mean attentive owners will be considering a replacement for the aging OEM exhaust. The new exhaust is “similarly over-engineered”, according to Milltek, providing extra performance and value to the car.

Milltek has released detailed specs on its all-new system for the VW Golf GTi MkII 8 valve. Milltek Sport has release details of its hand-finished stainless steel exhaust system for the BMW M235i coupe. Based on the shared platform of the 135, Milltek’s R&D team was able to cross-over much of the development work it had done on the M135i model. The new system uses the existing EC approved cat back system from the M135i, but with the added optional feature of a new race-spec Sports Catalyst that features Milltek’s latest valve technology, utilising OE spec BMW electronic valves in its construction.
