Milltek Sport releases 2011 Skoda Fabia Exhaust System

Date: 29th March 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport has released a new turbo back exhaust system for all models of the 1.4 TSi Skoda Fabia vRS. Manufactured in the UK, the system is hand-finished from aerospace grade, non-magnetic T304 stainless steel, making it lighter than the factory system.

The bends are mandrel-bent using the latest CNC technology balanced with traditional finishing techniques to improve flow and aesthetics. The technology has been gleaned from the firm’s extensive involvement in BTCC and Time Attack, according to the company, allowing it to offer “racecar levels of fit and finish” for the enthusiast.

Milltek says its engineers have pared down the weight of the new system over its OE counterpart, due to the high quality materials used; this helps to reduce the car’s mass, as well as improving drivability, power and torque.

The pipework is 70mm (2.75”) to balance gasflow and back pressure. It is finished with two 80mm GT80 trims. In terms of noise, the part balances a sporty note with good cabin acoustics, according to Milltek. The turbo-back system has an RRP of £1,094.25 (excluding VAT), and is also available as a “cat-back” only for £495.43.
