GB Tyres confirms ongoing support of Black Country Foodbank

When it came to selecting a charity to work with in 2023 and beyond, GB Tyres had a few essential requirements in mind. The West Midlands-based supplier, who since its establishment in 2013 has become one of the fastest growing importers and exporters of vehicle tyres in Europe, sought a charity with roots in the local area whose work genuinely supports people in need of support, an organisation that is pro-active and enthusiastic about forming local partnerships.

Nemesis joins Motul distributor network

Global lubricant brand, Motul has announced the appointment of Worcester-based branded products specialists, Nemesis, as its newest distributor – as both companies look to implement their ambitious growth plans in the UK Automotive Aftermarket. Motul, who are well established in the UK in the motorsport, enthusiast car and motorcycle sectors – where they are already amongst the best-selling brands – earlier in the year announced their intention to target the general aftermarket in Britain and this new appointment is seen as a major step in putting the resources in place to achieve this.

Bridgend’s Tyre Boss has become the UK agent for Techking Tires. The Qingdao, China based tyre manufacturer is a specialist in OTR tyre segments, fitted to heavy machinery in a variety of applications. Its new UK agent has pressed on with ambitious growth and expansion plans in 2020. Its latest development follows the acquisition of two warehouses, a large tyre press and a successful ISO audit so far this year.

Mahansaria Tyres comments on EATD acquisition

Commenting on its agreement in principle to buy a majority stake in European Agriculture Tyre Distributor (EATD), Mahansaria Tyres Private Limited (MTPL) states that it intends to build a global, market leading off-highway tyre business. MTPL describes the acquisition as its first step towards building its distribution network in Europe and developing EATD into “a leading” European distributor. EATD has also announced that it will distribute MTPL tyres in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, along with continuing to act as a distributor for Tianli tyres.

EATD recently disclosed plans to bring a new investor on board, and when we spotted Yogesh Mahansaria visiting the distributor’s stand at Agritechnica 2019 the list of potential investor candidates suddenly became a whole lot shorter. Mahansaria is indeed the new investor; EATD confirms that Mahansaria Tyres Private Limited (MTPL) has reached an in-principle agreement to acquire a major stake in the company.

Grupo Soledad becomes exclusive Sailun distributor in Iberian Peninsula

Spanish tyre distributor Grupo Soledad has entered into an agreement with Sailun Tyre that gives it exclusive distribution of the Sailun brand in Spain and Portugal. The distribution agreement was signed by the Sailun Group’s European management and José Pérez, commercial director of Grupo Soledad.

Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has announced that, as of this month, Europa Tyres is its main wholesale distributor for the Galaxy tyre brand in mainland UK. Europa Tyres will distribute the complete Galaxy range, including radial OTR and solid tyres.

STARCO to distribute Kenda car tyre range in Switzerland

Ready for the summer season, the STARCO subsidiary in Switzerland has received the first car tyres from Kenda and is ready to begin its new role as the brand’s national distributor.
