Automechanika Dubai 2021 has been moved to the end of the year and will now take place from 14 – 16 December 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. According to the show’s organisers, Messe Frankfurt, the move follows contact with stakeholders and is a the result of the Covid-19 pandemic’s “unchartered territory”.

The BITEC exhibition venue in Bangkok will host a Tyrexpo Asia event in Thailand from 2022. According to the event organisers, Tarsus Group, the idea is to keep running the existing Tyrexpo Asia Singapore exhibition during odd years and introduce the Bangkok edition during even years. As a result, there will be a Tyrexpo Asia event running annually. The inaugural Bangkok edition will be run 27-29 April 2022 roughly five months after Tyrexpo Asia Singapore, which is scheduled for 17-19 November 2021.

Autopromotec has postponed its 29th edition, originally planned for 26 – 29 May 2021 for a year. The event will now run Bologna from 25 – 28 May 2022. According to the show’s organisers Promotec SpA, the protection of exhibition was the primary reason for the decision. However, The Tire Cologne’s decision to postpone its 2020 show to dates that clash with the previously planned 2021 running of Autopromotec is likely to have featured in the decision.
A 2021 edition of the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) is “very uncertain” and therefore the next edition is not likely to take place until 2022. The news emerged on 26 May after the Foundation behind GIMS declined financial support from the Canton of Geneva because the rescue package stipulated that the even should plan for a 2021 event.
