Sailun returning to trade fair circuit at UK & German shows

The past 18 months have been “very challenging and unique”, comments Sailun Tyre Europe. But the company now says it is delighted to announce participation in two forthcoming trade shows. The first is here in the UK: In conjunction with Kirkby Tyres, local distributor of the Sailun truck tyre range, the tyre maker will occupy a 125 square metre stand within Hall 4 of the NEC when the Commercial Vehicle Show comes opens in Birmingham on 31 August.

Football: Sailun becomes FC Ingolstadt’s global tyre partner

Sailun Tyre is the new global tyre partner of German club FC Ingolstadt 04, which plays in the 2. Bundesliga. The collaboration between the ‘Schanzer’ and the Qingdao, China-based tyre maker is set to run for at least three years and is Sailun’s first professional football sponsorship deal with a German team.

This year has been a strong one for Falken Tyre on the motorsport front. It has racked up a plethora of titles from its motorsport activities and also secured a first victory in the VLN Endurance Championship as well as a top-ten finish at the notoriously challenging Nürburgring 24-hour race.

Falken concludes best VLN season to-date, shows off winning car designs

The 2017 VLN Endurance Championship is, states Falken Tyre Europe, its most successful season to date. The win by the Falken Motorsports BMW M6 GT3 in the fourth race of the season gave the tyre maker its first overall victory since the start of its Nürburgring commitment in 1999. The Porsche 911 GT3 R team added two more podium finishes later in the season. The final race of the season took place on the weekend with Falken Motorsport team’s Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Klaus Bachler and Romain Dumas, taking fourth place. Peter Dumbreck and Stef Dusseldorp had a great race in their BMW M6 GT3 coming from behind to finish in 11th place overall.

Seven countries, 19 clubs: Falken extends European football sponsorship

In addition to becoming a Liverpool FC partner, this season the Falken tyre brand is boosting its football sponsorship activities across Europe. As well as supporting further clubs in the German Bundesliga and first-division teams in Spain, France, Poland and Italy, it is also moving into sponsorship in the Netherlands for the first time.

Falken an official partner of DFL-Supercup

The DFL-Supercup, a football match held between the winners of the previous Bundesliga championship and the DFB-Pokal, will be held tomorrow in the German city of Dortmund and see local team Borussia Dortmund take on Bayern Munich. Falken branding will be visible during the day’s proceedings thanks to Sumitomo Rubber Industries’ return as a DFL-Supercup sponsor for a second year.

Top 10 finish for Falken at the Nürburgring 24 hours

Falken Motorsport achieved eighth place overall at the 45^th ADAC Zurich Nürburgring 24h race with its new BMW M6 GT3. The Sumitomo global brand’s motorsport division makes the race one of the flagship events in its promotional calendar, and added a second car to its team for the 2017 edition. Falken’s newest addition, competing at the endurance race for the first time in the company’s colours, was the third-best BMW home after a collision on Saturday evening led to the retirement of its Porsche 911 GT3 after completing just 26 laps.

Falken Motorsport adds BMW to Porsche at Nürburgring 24H

Falken will line up on the Nürburgring Nordschliefe grid with two premium German racing cars for the first time, adding a BMW M6 GT3 to the Porsche 911 GT3 R (Type 991), which debuted at the 2016 event. Falken’s Porsche was the fastest in the 24 hour race, finishing in ninth place overall. Falken will enter both cars in various VLN endurance races as well as the Green Hell event; the team says competing with two different but current GT3 vehicle marques is unusual, but confirms the depth of experience of Falken’s tyre engineers and the wide-ranging performance of the tyres. Falken’s long-term partner, Schnabl Engineering, will supervise and support the two vehicles throughout the season.

Falken to reveal race car, electric vehicle tyre at Geneva Motor Show

Falken Tyre brings Red Bull Air Race sponsorship activities to Ascot

Falken Tyre’s Team Falken air race team will seek further success in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship when it heads to Ascot, Berkshire on 13-14 August 2016. The Japanese tyre brand was the Official Partner of the Red Bull Air Race Chiba earlier this year, and also sponsors Japanese competitor Yoshihide Muroya. The 43-year-old Team Falken pilot claimed his maiden victory last month at the Chiba event in the second year of Falken’s successful partnership.

New Falken app offers virtual reality look inside motorsport team

A new app from Falken will offer customers and fans the opportunity to experience its motorsport activity from a new angle. A virtual reality video shot using a 360-degree camera inside the Falken Motorsport Porsche GT3 R (Type 991) will allow viewers using head-mounted displays (HMD) to sit in as co-driver on a virtual spin around the Nürburgring as well as a pit-stop and tyre change. The app also provides useful information, including a Falken dealer search and a brand video.

Falken achieves top 10 finish, class victory in Nürburgring 24 Hours

Falken Motorsport has followed up its podium finish at the 2015 Nürburgring 24 Hours with a top 10 and a class victory. The brand’s long-running participation at the event continued at an arduous 2016 Nürburgring 24 Hours, with ninth overall for Falken’s own new Porsche 991 GT3 R, together with a class win and top 20 finish for the SP3T Subaru WRX STI.

Falken Tyre launches European football advertising campaign

A new Falken Tyre television commercial campaign is being aired during Bundesliga football matches broadcast in Northern and Eastern Europe. The ads promote the Falken brand’s ‘Be On the Pulse of High Technology and Performance’ theme and range from seven to 20 seconds in length. They are screened by Eurosport before kick-off and a half-time during the German premier league games.
