For the third consecutive year, Japanese tyre manufacturer Toyo Tires is partnering with the AIG Women’s Open golf championship as an exclusive patron. This year’s championship will take place at Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland from 19 to 22 August.
Dunlop is to act as an official sponsor of the 2021 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE). After a gap of one year, the ISDE returns with a demanding route in Italy’s Apennines Mountains between Lombardy and Piedmont. The 95th edition of ISDE begins on 30 August and will feature 29 competing nations and 200 teams, including eight national teams in the Women’s World Trophy.

Hankook said it “intends” to continue its long-standing partnership with the UEFA Europa League, “in the years to come”. The comments, made as part of a press release signalling the company’s charitable activities in connection with the Europa League final, suggest Hankook wants to continue its support of purportedly the world’s biggest competition in club football for the foreseeable future.
Hankook – as part of its long-standing partnership with UEFA and this year’s UEFA Europa League Final in Gdańsk, Poland – enabled children selected by two non-profits to attend the final. Both chosen non-profit organisations are involved in football-related activities for children. Amp Futbol Polska supports children with amputations and physical disabilities who want to play football, while Fair Play Program aims to empower girls and women in football in Poland. Not only were the children able to watch the final between Villareal CF and Manchester United live, but they also received exclusive backpacks made from the original centre circle banner tarpaulin, filled with goodies to enjoy after the game. They were also allowed to take photos with Polish goalkeeping legend Jerzy Dudek, and the original UEFA Europa League Trophy before the match.
After 26 years front and centre, Pirelli may not be the shirt sponsor at Inter Milan anymore, but starting from next season and until the 2023/24 season, the tyre brand will become the club’s Global Tyre Partner.
Even though ticket sales are yet to commence, the Nürburgring 24-hour race is expected to take place over the weekend of 3 to 6 June as planned – with or without spectators. And when the ADAC Total 24h race commences, the circuit will include two sections of track that now carry the Goodyear name.
GT Radial is the Official Tyre Partner of the Champions Hockey League (CHL). The Giti Tire brand will use Europe’s biggest ice hockey competition to boost awareness of its winter portfolio across the continent. The agreement means GT Radial will get advertising at all games, its logo on official media backdrops and on the website, tickets, usage of the CHL emblem, tailored digital activations, on-site promotions and access to fan engagement activities. Giti said its advertising will promote the “direct link between the speed and precision of professional ice hockey and the GT Radial WinterPro2 Sport, its winter tyre dedicated to the UHP market.”
Hankook Tyre UK is the official tyre sponsor at Supercar Fest for a second year. After the event’s successful debut in 2019 at Shelsley Walsh, event organisers will be hosting two events in 2021. Supercar Fest: The Runway will take place on 30 May at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, which will see the supercars go head-to-head on a one kilometre runway whilst Supercar Fest: The Hill Climb will be returning to the historic Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, in the heart of the picturesque Worcestershire countryside on 29 August 2021. Both events will offer exclusive supercar, classic car and motorsport demo runs, trade stands, live music, and close-up experiences in ‘The Paddock’.
BKT has become presenting sponsor of the LGT World Women’s Curling Championship. Contested on 30 April at the Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Canada, the World Curling Federation event is the second to receive BKT sponsorship; the OTR and agricultural tyre manufacturer was the title sponsor of the World Men’s Curling Championship in Calgary between 2 and 11 April. BKT said the number of curling enthusiasts has grown significantly worldwide over the last two years and the sport is particularly popular in key markets for the brand, like Canada’s rural population.
Meet the Giti Gazelles. A new partner of Giti Tire, this all-female off-road driving team will represent the tyre maker in a variety of competitive and community support activities. Headlining the events in the first half of the year will be the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles desert rally held in Morocco from 14 to 29 May. The rally is the original female-only off-road rally raid and the only one with ISO-14001 environmental accreditation.

Some 600 athletes from across Europe are heading to Toruń, Poland for the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2021, which will take place between 5 and 7 March. Toyo Tires returns as an official partner, continuing the relationship that began at the event held in Berlin three years ago.

They’re taking place right now at Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, with Pirelli as a Main Sponsor. Hankook will fit its Ventus Race tyre on the FFF Racing Team’s Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO at the 49th ADAC Total 24h Race at the Nürburgring on 3-6 June, 2021. The tyre manufacturer has also become the lead sponsor of the team, supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. The Hankook FFF Racing Team will compete in races at the 66th ADAC Westfalenfahrt (27 March), the Nimex 45th DMV 4-Hour Race (17 April) and the 62nd Eibach ADAC ACAS Cup (1 May), all of which form part of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. The team says the schedule gives the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO chance to establish itself among the front-runners at the Eifel region’s 24-hour classic.
