Nothing holds a candle to trade fairs when it comes to meeting up and sharing experiences. This past year may have shown us what life without tyre shows looks like, but it hasn’t offered us much in the way of alternatives.

ZC Rubber launches online dealer service portal

With its newly-developed global customer service system, ZC Rubber says it offers tyre dealers an online platform that serves as a “one-stop solution for tyre information, marketing support and after-sales service.” The system covers all ZC Rubber brands, including Westlake, Goodride, Chaoyang, Trazano, Arisun and Yartu.

Car market ‘unleashed’ after lockdown – BuyaCar.co.uk

Ending lockdown has “unleashed a surge in demand for cars,” according to the online car supermarket BuyaCar.co.uk. While spectacular increases in every measure of consumer interest during June are somewhat tempered by equally spectacular declines in the preceding months, BuyaCar contends that enquiries from buyers are not simply bouncing back from the depths of the coronavirus crisis. They are already beginning to overtake pre-pandemic levels.

Delticom reports stable profits for H1 2019

Delticom AG has managed to maintain its gross profit level in the first half of the year despite a slight decrease in sales compared with the prior-year period. Revenues amounted to 285 million euros in the six months to 30 June 2019, 2.1 per cent less year-on-year. Gross profit was 76.9 million euros, nearly unchanged compared to the previous year; stable profits and lower sales meant that the gross margin slightly grew to 21.9 per cent (H1 2018: 21.7%).

B2C tyre business: Pneo throws its hat into the ring

Aged just 18, Phil-Kevin Sell founded German online tyre retailer fritzreifen in 2011, and followed this two years later with a mobile tyre fitting service, GoJames. Now, together with GoJames management team members Moritz Kampmann and Sebastian Severin Schulte, Sell has his eyes on a much bigger prize: They aim to establish Europe’s “leading B2C tyre platform.” This B2C platform is called Pneo, and the GoJames team intends to launch it by April 2019.

Capitalising on the New Year trend for winter tyres

Euromaster targeting 25% online growth in 2018

Michelin reports an aim of growing online sales through its Euromaster retail network in the UK and Europe by 25 per cent in 2018. This projected growth follows a 30 per cent increase in online sales through Euromaster this year, with online sales accounting for 15 per cent of all Euromaster sales in 2017.
