RL Automotive has announced plans to outline its TyreWatch PTM (Predictive Tyre Management) technology at the CV Show.
Alberto Bombassei, president of well-known brake manufacturer Brembo, has been nominated for induction into the Automotive Hall of Fame. The prestigious honour will be bestowed in a ceremony to be held this July in Detroit. Bombassei is only the ninth Italian to be inducted.

Lease, who previously served as director of national retail sales, North America Tire Operations for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., will be responsible for driving profitable sales and growing global market share for Mickey Thompson across all segments, including street, strip, racing, off-road and others.
When Autopromotec 2017 takes place in Bologna, Italy between 24 and 28 May 2017, tyres will be a key sector. Indeed, according to company representatives, the 2017 show will be the first time all the most important international tyre manufacturers will be present at the same time. As a result, show organisers Promotec Spa point out that this strong presence means more exhibition space devoted to the tyre business, not to mention a busy calendar events and workshops as part of the AutopromotecEDU programme.

John Powath, CEO of Asian Business Media (ABM), which published titles including Rubber Asia, passed away at night on 28 March 2017, in Kochi, India.
A well-known personality in the rubber industry, John Powath had a wide circle of friends in the industry. He was associated with All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) for decades and played a crucial role in the growth of the association and its flagship event, India Rubber Expo (IRE).

Hille Korhonen has more than 20 years of experience in international consumer business. Before joining Nokian Tyres, Korhonen was member of the executive team of Fiskars Oyj Abp (2008–2012) and Iittala corporation (2003–2008) as well as CEO of Alko Oy from 2013. Korhonen has been member of the board of Nokian Tyres plc since 2006.
George Rietbergen (who was formerly Goodyear Dunlop’s UK and Ireland managing director before becoming the firm’s group’s vice president Commercial EMEA and then managing director, DACH) has been nominated to the board of Nokian Tyres.
