The Al Dobowi Group has discussed its strategies for the support of its Infinity and Eternity brands in Europe. The Infinity brand has been present in the European market for more than ten years; it is the brand with which Al Dobowi has established itself in Europe. The Dubai based group embellishes its offer with exclusive distribution agreements and continuous investments to increase the popularity of the brand. European FinTyre Distribution (EfTD) has appointed Riccardo Costa as purchasing director Business Truck & Motorcycle. In this role he will report directly to Alessandro Bruchi, Chief Procurement Officer of EfTD.

More than 20 partners attended a three day meeting in Marrakesh (Morocco) between 25 and 28 February and learnt more about Al Dobowi´s European website and new product range.
During the “exclusive symposium”, Al Dobowi partners were able to find out more about the most recent additions to the Infinity product range. These will include: 60 new passenger car tyre sizes with improved labelling scores and 47 new passenger car tyres, as well as Infinity’s new regional truck tyre range and extended agricultural line-up.
Infinity executives have welcomed recent ADAC test results ranking its Ecosis 185/65 R15 H tyre top for noise comfort and giving it a “good” rating for fuel consumption and wear. On this occasion ADAC selected tyres intended to be fitted to smaller town and city cars.
RH Claydon, one of the UK’s leading independent specialist tyre wholesalers, believes its wide range of brands and fitments within its extensive truck tyre portfolio meets the needs and requirements of its customers within the light and heavy bus and truck tyre market. This selection encompasses “premier” to “value” ends of the marketplace, sales & marketing director at the wholesaler, John Parker told Tyres & Accessories, with the brands Annaite, Basoon, Infinity, Lassa and Windpower. The wholesaler has recently extended its delivery reach in one of the more remote regions of the UK, launching a delivery service in Devon and Cornwall.
Infinity Tyres Europe has questioned a recent ADAC winter tyre test’s selection of its INF049 – a tyre the company says is no longer in production. The tyre was evaluated as part of the 2014 ADAC winter tyre test, and while the manufacturer does not wish to question the German organisation’s testing parameters, it criticises the selection process that led to its INF049 tyre being tested. Infinity says the tyre was “only available to purchase in 2013.”
Its presence in the European commercial tyre segment is increasing, and therefore Infinity Tyres says it intends to step up development and sales activity in 2015. And to promote these initiatives, the company will present its range at IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014 show in hall 25, stand A02.

Mid-way through the Essen Show, the people behind one of the largest plots in hall three (home to the Infinity, Westlake and Linglong brands) announced that they are changing their corporate identity. Infinity Tyres has announced that its Reifen 2014 stand will feature four new passenger car tyres, including an SUV tyre in high performance sizes and a studded winter tyre. The new tyres will join the Ecomax and Ecosis PCR tyres launched in 2013 as products focused on the performance characteristics demanded on the European market. Infinity will display all of its products on Stand 3C10 at Messe Essen.
This year, Euro-Tyre BV intends to take part in a number of global trade events – including the exhibition widely considered to be the world’s premiere tyre show. The Venlo, Netherlands-based wholesaler will be present in Hall 2.0 Stand 2C26 with its key brands, including Infinity (which it distributes in a number of major European markets), Achilles and Gerutti. It will also highlight a number of activities that come under a new strategy – ‘Euro Tyre on the Move’. This include the company’s new webshop, which went live earlier this year and will be followed up by a new website, and another key event will be the introduction of a new tyre brand that bears the company’s name.
