From the start of 2020, all Galaxy solid tyres come with a five-warranty. Announcing this extended warranty, Alliance Tire Group (ATG) comments that the Galaxy solid range thus enjoys “one of the longest warranty periods in the industry.”
Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has expanded the Galaxy Yardmaster forklift tyre range with the addition of higher ply rating tyres for five key sizes. The new additions are sizes 21X8-9 (16 PR), 7.00-12, 7.00-15 and 7.50-15 (all 14 PR) and 250-15 (20 PR).
STARCO has taken on distribution of the Alliance and Galaxy agricultural, forestry and construction tyre lines in Switzerland under a newly-negotiated agreement with Alliance Tire Group (ATG). Uwe Sieger is Alliance Tire Group’s new country manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As such he takes responsibility for sales activities related to the Alliance and Galaxy brands in these markets. Sieger succeeds Friedhelm Kaufmann, who has been appointed OE key account manager for the region.
Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has announced that, as of this month, Europa Tyres is its main wholesale distributor for the Galaxy tyre brand in mainland UK. Europa Tyres will distribute the complete Galaxy range, including radial OTR and solid tyres.

With the launch of the Galaxy LHD 500 SDS (Severe Duty Solid) at this year’s Bauma show, ATG further extends its portfolio of solid tyres for material handling, construction, mining and waste management applications. The new Galaxy tyre is suited for use on heavy forklifts and wheel loaders working in extreme conditions. ATG says the tyre offers low wear, long service life and long productivity.
Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has doubled its warranty on specific agricultural radial steel belted tyres, introducing a new ten-year workmanship and materials warranty as of 1 January 2019. This makes the guarantee one of the longest warranty periods offered in the sector to date. For all other ATG agricultural tyres, the warranty is now extended to seven years.
Two ‘top performers’ will take pride of place at the Alliance Tire Group stand during The Tire Cologne – the Alliance A-389VF-IMP for agricultural transports and the Galaxy LDSR 300, a tyre specially developed and built for wheel loaders operated under most adverse conditions. A new Alliance Tire Group (ATG) advertising campaign is being rolled out for the Galaxy brand in European markets, and the off-road tyre specialist says the campaign serves as a signal that is investing in the construction and material handling segments. The advertisements draw inspiration from nature, comparing the strengths of particular animals with those of Galaxy tyres.
A pair of new tyres have entered the Galaxy Yardmaster range. The size 250-15 NHS and 300-15 NHS fitments for forklifts are designed for high performance in medium intensity operations, and Alliance Tire Group says they can be distinguished by a strong casing with stiff sidewalls, which ensure pneumatic ride comfort and stability particularly during lifting operations.
An all-new Alliance Tire Group website has gone live. The www.atgtire.com site has a new look and functionalities, and the Yokohama Rubber-owned tyre maker states that it “provides visitors with a better and more interactive way to discover the full range of Alliance and Galaxy products.” Geo-specific homepages within the site cater to the different regions where Alliance Tire Group operates, and content and brochures are available in a total of eight languages – English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Russian.
Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has introduced a new skid steer tyre, the Galaxy Hulk Deep-Tread SDS. The Hulk SDS is the latest addition to the Galaxy severe duty solid (SDS) line, which also contains solid versions of such popular tread patterns as the company’s Beefy Baby and Yardmaster tyres.
If it’s not broken, don’t try and fix it. Yokohama Rubber Company took this idiom to heart following its acquisition of the Alliance Tire Group (ATG) in July, and for good reason it seems. Speaking with media for the first time since the deal’s closure, ATG’s head of marketing for Europe, Ole Baek, noted in October that Yokohama Rubber is more than happy to keep things the way they are for the time being.
Alliance Tire Group is marketing the Galaxy Yardmaster SDS as the ‘king of forklift tyres’. Developed and designed for warehouse operations, all kinds of loading and unloading work, shop-floor as well as port and yard operations, the Galaxy Yardmaster SDS is said to be “a true workhorse for long and demanding tasks”.
