Heuver Tyrewholesale, distributor of the Aeolus tyre brand in eight continental European markets, says it expects “many developments” now that its parent company ChemChina has acquired a share in Pirelli. Commenting on the transaction, director Bertus Heuver said “ChemChina is China’s largest tyre manufacturer and Aeolus Tyres is its leading international brand. We agreed import rights for Aeolus ten years ago, and immediately noticed their ambitions and willingness to make investments. So ChemChina’s decision to take over Pirelli is merely an extension of their existing philosophy and is proof of their vision and strength.
Heuver Tyrewholesale has commented on its “above-average results for 2014”. The Hardenberg, Netherlands-based wholesaler said its investments in people and resources, while also focusing on procurement and delivery conditions, had helped it outstrip market conditions. “Customer contact was our primary focus in 2014”, says Bertus Heuver, director of Heuver Tyrewholesale. “You can only retain customers if you pay particular attention to them and meet their specific needs. And our country-based approach to the market played a very important role. This required us to invest in new and experienced people – 17 new colleagues in total – as well as new resources.
France is a stated focus market for Heuver Tyrewholesale this year, and the company is thus establishing its own distribution centre there. The wholesaler says its preparations for the new centre, which is located near Lyon, are now in their final stages. In hand with this project, Heuver is also expanding its French market workforce.
As of January 2015, Laura van den Heuvel will occupy the newly created position of sales manager at Heuver Tyrewholesale. The wholesaler said the position has been introduced to further improve effectiveness and customer focus.
New year, new website – Heuver Tyrewholesale has begun 2015 with the rollout of a completely new website and an accompanying tyre app. Heuver says both initiatives aim to optimise the tyre search and order process and are in line with the company’s vision of becoming the most customer-friendly tyre wholesaler, a process it began last year with the adoption of a more geographic approach within its marketing and customer service teams.
Aeolus announced a steer position addition to its winter tyre series at Reifen 2014. The new tyre lines up alongside the existing ADW80 for drive axles, which has itself been expanded to include new sizes.
Around two years ago, Heuver Tyrewholesale named Germany as its second ‘home market’, and since then the wholesaler’s customer base there has continued to grow. In response, Heuver has now enlarged its German account team with the appointment of Mark Engemann, who takes on responsibility for the region of Saxony-Thuringia.
It’s only a short time ago that Heuver Tyrewholesale began distributing the LingLong range of tractor tyres, and now the line-up it offers is being expanded. In addition to the 85-series drive axle products it already offers, the wholesaler now stocks 70, 80 and 90-series LingLong tractor tyres. Heuver says it is focusing on high-demand sizes, and adds that a line for towed vehicles will follow these new additions.
Heuver Tyrewholesale will exhibit the range of Aeolus tyres it distributes in some European markets from Hall 2, Stand 2E48. Heuver says it maintains an active trade fair schedule with a lot of time for maintaining and expanding customer relations, while also highlighting the latest Aeolus brand products. Heuver will also feature the Athlete brand of wheels, and the latest agricultural tyres by Linglong, with whom Heuver has established an exclusive contract in some European markets.
Heuver Tyrewholesale has announced it will once again attend the Reifen trade show, which takes place in Essen, Germany this May. The wholesaler says its trade fair schedule features a lot of time for maintaining and expanding customer relations, while also highlighting the latest products by its important and exclusive (in eight markets) brand Aeolus. In terms of wheel rims, Heuver will give specific attention to the Athlete brand. It will also focus on the latest agricultural tyres by LingLong, which Heuver distributes in a number of markets. The Heuver stand can be found in Hall 2, stand number 2E48.
At present, Heuver Tyrewholesale is forming a customer support ‘expert team’ for the German speaking markets, and Gert Timmer, who currently manages the company’s agricultural business unit, will take on responsibility for the Bavaria and Austria regions as part of this team. He joins four other experienced customer support professionals in the new German markets team, and will be present with his colleagues at November’s Agritechnica show.
As part of Heuver Tyrewholesale’s plan to create country-specific sales teams, the Netherlands-based wholesaler has hired Marjolein Dangremond as sales representative for its earthmover tyres business. Dangremond began in her new role on 1 April and will be the ‘right hand woman’ of manager Bert van ´t Holt. Her focus will be on international markets, particularly French-speaking ones.
Although Heuver Tyrewholesale is based in the Netherlands, the company’s gaze is firmly eastwards towards its neighbour. Director Bertus Heuver has described Germany as the wholesaler’s “home market” and stated that the company’s drive in 2012 is to increase its activities in German-speaking markets. As part of this, Heuver has appointed a new account manager for northern Germany; Tobias Heyne has taken on the role, and Heuver says that Heyne’s presence will enable its existing account managers to further increase their focus upon their respective regions.
Aeolus Tyres entrusted the development of its special Website for the European market to Dutch importer Heuver Tyrewholesale. The new site www.aeolus-tyres.eu was developed in the Dutch town of Hardenberg. The layout of the new European site offers the user a way to find background information and extensive product information. Later this year, Heuver Tyrewholesale will open an interactive web store on the site, where customers can place their orders any time.
