British OTR market a focus for Heuver

Date: 22nd March 2011 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Dutch wholesaler Heuver Tyrewholesale has extended its OTR business into the UK and Ireland and says it is actively targeting this region, a move it describes as a further development of its “strong European position in the OTR sector.” Heading up the British operation is 43-year old Phil Bradburn, who is based near Manchester and has worked with Heuver for a number of years.

“Our ambition for this year is to grow within the OTR sector in Europe,” stated Bertus Heuver, managing director of Heuver Tyrewholesale. “It was therefore a logical step to add Phil Bradburn, with whom we have been working with for many years, to our OTR team. By hiring him we are gaining a real expert who knows both the European and above all the British and Irish market inside out. In addition to his specific expertise in the area of OTR, he also knows a great deal about truck and car tyres. But his real love is OTR, and we offer ample opportunities for the future in that area with both the major brands and our own import brands Aeolus, Maxfield and Maxam. We are convinced that Phil will be making an important contribution to this.”

Bradburn added: “I have gained valuable experience in the tyre business over the past 22 years, and specifically in the OTR sector. Heuver is offering me the opportunity to develop further in this regard. I have known Heuver for many years – it’s an established company with the right business-like attitude. I look forward to working with them to achieve their ambitions. The vision for the future and the opportunities that are on offer greatly appeal to me. Heuver’s excellent stockholding, the 24,000 square metre warehouse and the 24/7 webshop are also trump cards. I will initially be focusing on selling to and maintaining my OTR network in Great Britain and Ireland.”
