Following on from the TÜV SÜD testing carried out for Membat last year, the tyre brand commissioned the testing and certification specialist to once again compare Membat tyres against rival products. This time the Membat Passion was tested in size 205/55 R16 91 V against B segment brand products manufactured by Michelin and Continental (Membat hasn’t disclosed the specific brand or product family). Membat comments that “the results speak for themselves.”
Having opened a representative office in Singapore last September, exhibiting at Tyrexpo Asia was a logical decision for Membat Tire. Not only was the Membat range on display at the show and the Membat team engaged in talks with visitors regarding the brand’s expansion, Membat’s R&D manager also gave a presentation at the Tyre Talk seminar series.
The latest generation Membat winter tyre is called the Flake. The range is now available in a total of 46 T, H and V speed rated sizes for 13 to 18-inch rim diameters following the introduction of 20 new sizes. Membat says the broadened line-up makes it possible to offer a Flake fitment for a wide range of vehicles, from small city cars to SUVs and medium-sized family saloons.
Barcelona-based tyre brand Membat has released a video of a benchmark test performed for it in April. Membat arranged for TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH to carry out the test not only to elevate awareness of its products, but also to gain a clearer idea of its brand position amongst the ‘B segment’ competition.
Spanish tyre brand Membat returned to Reifen this year with a stand twice as large as its 2014 show presence. The 100 square metre exhibition space not only housed the seven summer and winter tyre lines for cars, SUVs and vans sold under the Membat name, it also contained ample space for meeting current and potential clients.
Membat, the Barcelona-designed “Mediterranean tyre brand”, has appointed Top Ruote its distributor in the Marche and Abruzzo regions of Italy. The tyre and wheel distributor and wholesaler will have exclusive rights to the Membat brand within these two territories. Through this arrangement, Membat anticipates “considerably” higher sales through Top Ruote and a closer business relationship.
Membat is exhibiting at Automechanika Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s leading regional trade fair for automotive industry, which takes place between 26 and 28 January 2016.
The Mediterranean tyre brand will introduce the tyre patterns developed during 2015 to the local market. The new catalogue will include the Passion Runflat tyre. In less than a year, this pattern has achieved A Grade in all sizes for Wet Grip.
Mediterranean tyre brand Membat is encouraging drivers to change their tyres before the Christmas holidays.
“Ideally, November is a good month to take a look into the car and change to winter tyres. But it is never too late if you haven’t done it already, you can still change your tyres before the upcoming holiday season,” company representatives wrote in a statement on the subject.
Membat has announced that its Passion Run Flat tyre has passed European label test with flying colours, effectively launching the product for sale in the continent. According to the company, the Passion Run Flat tyre scored an impressive A-grade for wet braking performance, making it one of the first tyres to do so.
Membat, a tyre brand designed in Barcelona, recently launched a new website in order to offer users “an easier, intuitive and interactive navigation”. The company reports that this was achieved by incorporating “the latest technology” and as a result customers will be able to find out more about the brand and its positioning. The new site is organized into five main sections: about us, products, Membat quality, news and contact.
Spanish-based Membat exhibited at Citexpo for the third time this year. The company, which has been in business 10 years now, established its Membat private brand five years back. Demonstrating its private brand pedigree, the company owns the brand name, the moulds and has registered its patterns, which the firm is proud to say are designed in Spain. Production of Membat tyres began in 2012 and so these tyres are therefore entering the third year of manufacturing now.
Spanish tyre brand Membat will make its debut appearance in South Africa at the Tyrexpo Africa exhibition, which is scheduled to take place in Johannesburg between 4 and 6 March. Membat is a budget consumer tyre brand that was launched in 2012; Membat shares that since that time the brand has quickly established itself in numerous European, American and Asian markets.
