ZC Rubber hosts dealer meeting in Thailand
ZC Rubber hosted a meeting for dealers and partners in Bangkok, Thailand on 28 Januaruy. The distributor conference was headlined, “More Progress More Achievement”, focusing on improving market share in local tyre markets. Ge Guorong, vice president of ZC Rubber, shared the great achievement in the 2017 that the company’s sales revenue was up for 2017, by about 22 per cent.

ZC Rubber opens second Autospace store in Thailand
ZC Rubber is to open a new Goodride Autospace flagship store, located at Samut Sakhon in Thailand. According to the company, the store covers 1600 square metres and is the second Autospace store in Thailand opened by ZC Rubber. At beginning of 2017, the company opened its first overseas Autospace store – a Westlake-branded version in Rayong, Thailand.

Grouptyre holds national sales conference
Grouptyre held its annual National Sales Conference in mid-January at the Holiday Inn just off the M6 in Birmingham. Hosted by Paul Hollows, Grouptyre’s commercial director, the meeting gave the organisation the opportunity to present its 2017 plans to its sales teams, who had converged on Birmingham from all corners of the UK. The Conference was opened by Grouptyre chairman Gary Oliver, who in his opening address touched on the constant challenges which we all face not only in the industry, but the wider world.

Grouptyre distributed brands expanding 4×4 fitments as segment interest grows
With the number of new car registrations increasing and SUVs leading the way in new car sales, the desire for owning a 4x4/SUV has led to a surge in demand for tyres in this lucrative market, distributor Grouptyre confirms. SMMT figures for August 2016 bear this out – numbers seven to 10 on the bestselling new cars table are all crossover SUVs. With greater popularity, opportunity follows for tyre manufacturers, and the wholesaler states that its suppliers are continuing to develop product ranges to meet the demands of vehicle manufacturers and their expanding range of vehicles. All the evidence points to continuing growth for 4x4 tyre sales following on from 2015’s double-digit increases, as revealed in our March issue by market research specialists GfK Automotive.

ZC Rubber has hosted its first European dealer meeting in Germany, designed to further development and marketing strategy in the market. Hosting “hundreds of partners and dealers,” Shen Jinrong, president of ZC Rubber, introduced the company mission: “To supply safe and value to global market”.

Westlake & Goodride to share stand space
Any company that manages to secure exhibition space in the main hall of the Reifen show holds onto it tightly in future years, and this is something ZC Rubber (ZhongCe Rubber Group Ltd.) can confirm – the Chinese manufacturer will erect its stand in exactly the same Hall 3 space as it did two years ago, returning to stand C10. The company’s repeat appearance in the main hall shows that ZC Rubber doesn’t belong to the host of small and mid-sized manufacturers from the People’s Republic, who as a rule make themselves at home in another hall, rather it is the top player in this giant market and, in the last two or three years, held a place in the list of top ten global manufacturers.

In Landsail, Evergreen and Goodride, Grouptyre says it has three brands that offer “affordable quality” to the retailer. The former’s rise in the UK has been well documented; it is now achieving sales well into six figures and increasing its brand penetration with consecutive title sponsorships at the Performance Car Show. Supported by Grouptyre members’ investment, the latter two brands have achieved increasing prominence within the car tyre market too, and their latest products target the most popular segments in the UK market. As with Landsail, Grouptyre offers a wide range of dealer support packages, including competitive pricing, access to exclusive dealer promotions, point of sale material and merchandise, for both brands.

Zenises, ZC Rubber give to schools
The Zenises Foundation, the child-focused charity associated with the Zenises tyre brand, and Goodride tyre brand manufacturer ZC Rubber have shared details of separate projects undertaken with schools in Africa and the Caribbean.
Delti adds Goodride support centres in Germany
At the start of October, the truck/commercial tyre division of Delticom AG, reported that it has successfully recruited further authorized Goodride support centres in Germany.
ZC Rubber: IDIADA tests ‘strong’
Compared with other international tyres, ZC Rubber reports that its Goodride Sport SA-37 has “obvious advantages”, especially in terms of wet braking test and with relation to the 225/45 R17 size.
