Kumho has introduced two new patterns in 2020, the all-season Solus 4S HA32 and WinterCraft WP72. It said the range updates are a response to increasing demand for such products. The Kumho Solus 4S HA32 joins the HA31 this autumn, bringing the total size range to 70. The manufacturer will add an HA32 SUV range in 2021.
Kumho has added the new BMW 5 Series to its portfolio of OEM supply deals. The tyre manufacturer’s Ecsta PS91 super sports tyre in size 245/45R18 XL 100Y is now being delivered to the German marque’s Dingolfing plant in Bavaria.
The addition of 14 SUV sizes to the Kumho Solus 4S HA31 range boosts the total portfolio to more than 90 different dimensions. The newly-released Kumho Solus 4S HA31 SUV is available in 16- to 18-inch sizes in sizes to fit vehicles such as the VW Tiguan, Nissan Qashqai, Vauxhall Mokka, Audi Q3/5/7 and BMW X3/4/5.
Numerous new size options have been added to the Kumho Solus HA31 all-season tyre range, bringing the total number of available sizes up to 90. The Solus HA31 can now be obtained in 13 to 18-inch fitments, and Kumho says the recent additions to the range cover most of the popular SUVs in the UK market, as well as a wide spectrum of passenger cars.
Solus HA31 is Kumho Tire’s latest all-season tyre, and it has now all but replaced the Solus Vier KH21 in the UK market; though the older pattern is currently still available in some sizes. According to the tyre maker, the HA31 is “the ideal choice for drivers of all sizes of passenger car seeking optimum performance and reliability in all weathers.”
Kumho’s latest all-season tyre, the Solus HA31, has been accorded a Japanese Good Design Award. So too has the Kumho Eco Sense SE11 – a pattern specifically designed for environmentally friendly and electric vehicles but which, unlike the HA31, isn’t currently available in the UK market.
Kumho’s recent refreshment of its PCR, van and LCV summer range and return to the truck tyre market have been joined by a recently updated winter tyre range. Arguing that UK drivers are “far better educated in the values of winter and all-weather tyres than before the big freeze of 2011,” Kumho’s 2015-16 cold-weather range recognises that demand for such products continues to rise across the board.
Kumho staged a UK launch for its updated product range at Rockingham Motor Speedway. Dubbed the ‘Kumho Experience’, the manufacturer’s UK marketing director John Thrupp introduced the day long event, which allowed Kumho’s national network of dealers and media guests to sample the performance characteristics of such tyres as the Solus HS51 premium tyre, which became available in the last quarter of 2013.
