Infinity synergies to support European growth of Eternity brand

Al Dobowi Group

The Al Dobowi Group has discussed its strategies for the support of its Infinity and Eternity brands in Europe. The Infinity brand has been present in the European market for more than ten years; it is the brand with which Al Dobowi has established itself in Europe. The Dubai based group embellishes its offer with exclusive distribution agreements and continuous investments to increase the popularity of the brand. Tyrepress sister site PneusNews.it explains how the group’s partners in Europe have supported its brands during the pandemic in 2020, and what its future plans are on the continent. “We want to further accelerate the Eternity project across Europe,” said Riccardo Costa, general manager of Al Dobowi Europe.

GRI acquires Nortire OU

Sri Lanka-based speciality tyre manufacturer GRI reports that it has acquired the Estonia-based Nortire Group. Headquartered in Estonia, with a branch in Latvia and two branches in Lithuania, Nortire is a speciality tyre distributor. According to GRI, the acquisition will further expand the GRI’s global tyre service network, while attaining a significant foothold in the North European tyre market. The news follows a non-acquisition Middle East strategic partnership with Al-Dobowi in April 2019.

GRI and Al Dobowi launch strategic partnership

A new strategic business partnership between Al Dobowi and GRI has been set up to facilitate the distribution of the GRI off-highway tyre brand in Middle Eastern and African markets. The partnership was officially launched at a function in Dubai on 29 April.

Matt Smith joins Al Dobowi as UK and Ireland sales manager

Surender Kandhari acknowledged at Punjabi Icon Awards

Earlier this month, the annual Punjabi Icon Awards were held in Mumbai, India, and Surender Singh Kandhari was amongst those honoured at the ceremony. The Punjabi Cultural Heritage Board (PCHB), an organisation representing Sikhs and Punjabis in the city of Mumbai and state of Maharashtra, awarded Kandhari for his achievement in the global corporate sector.

Al Dobowi hosts Infinity Partners Day in Marrakesh

More than 20 partners attended a three day meeting in Marrakesh (Morocco) between 25 and 28 February and learnt more about Al Dobowi´s European website and new product range.

During the “exclusive symposium”, Al Dobowi partners were able to find out more about the most recent additions to the Infinity product range. These will include: 60 new passenger car tyre sizes with improved labelling scores and 47 new passenger car tyres, as well as Infinity’s new regional truck tyre range and extended agricultural line-up.

Al Dobowi appoints new group CEO

Al Dobowi Group, which is well known for importing and exporting tyres around the world, has appointed Malcolm Wall Morris as group chief executive officer effective immediately. This is the first time Al Dobowi has appointed a group CEO in the company’s 40-year history. According to Al Dobowi representatives, the decision – taken in the firm’s 40th anniversary year – reflects the understanding that the family business “needs to develop and evolve to ensure that we are best positioned to continue growing for the next 40 years”.

Infinity Tyres announces new European sales team and office

Infinity Tyres, part of the Al Dobowi Group, has announced two new appointments in European leadership positions. Mitchell Peeters and Riccardo Costa, formerly of Goodyear, have joined the company in the roles of executive director and general manager Europe respectively, operating out of a new European sales office, based in Madrid, Spain.

Westlake Wishes foundation launched

The manufacturer, Westlake and one of its global distributors, the Al Dobowi Group have launched the new Westlake Wishes foundation. Ge Guorong, the CEO of Westlake, was joined by Al Dobowi’s Harjeev Kandhari and 30 European Westlake distributor partners as the foundation’s first initiative was announced.

Linglong rated “most valuable Chinese tyre brand” for 2nd year running

World Brand Lab has named Linglong in its latest brand valuations ranking – the ‘Top 500 Most Valuable Chinese Brands’. And what’s more they report places Linglong as the highest Chinese tyre brand, with its brand value judged to have increased from 11.652 billion yuan (US$1.86 billion) to 14.372 billion yuan ($2.30 billion) over the past 12 months. This increased the company’s ranking on the ‘Top 500’ list to 127th place.

Westlake, Vacu-Lug host first UK Partners Day

Hangzhou Zhongce flagship brand Westlake Tyres has held its first UK Partners Day with authorised UK distributor for TBR tyres, Vacu-Lug. The event was held at the Land Rover Experience Centre at Rockingham Castle, Leicestershire where the brand and its distributor combined the presentation of Westlake’s TBR tyre line-up with some “serious off-roading.”
