Mintex extends brake pad and disc range

TecAlliance’s TecDoc Catalogue contains standardised data from more than 900 spare parts brands, with millions of product descriptions and product images. From the end of January 2022, tyre data will also be available – in the TecDoc Catalogue, via Web Service and in the data packages. This update brings size- or vehicle model-based information about summer, winter and all-season tyres to the catalogue, and Continental is the first tyre manufacturer to present its brands.

TecAlliance has added Instant Data Processing (IDP) in order to update TecDoc data in real time. According to the company, this increases flexibility and shortens the time to market for data suppliers and receivers. TecAlliance says IDP will be available “early in 2021”.
Despite the prevalence of vehicle manufacturer (VM) derived electronic parts catalogues (EPC), they generally rely on a variety of search methods to identify a replacement part, which for wholesalers and CV workshops servicing and repairing multi-brand fleets, makes the identification process time-consuming, laborious and not cost-effective.
Schaeffler is promoting its Repxpert online technical platform for professional vehicle technicians with a new promotion. As the number of TecDoc users had increased significantly during the previous few years, in 2010, Jason Meade joined Shaun Greasley, the brand’s then regional manager, to become the UK and Ireland’s full-time technical support representative assisting official data suppliers and catalogue users with a multitude of enquiries from product upload matters, to fine-tuning the most efficient search method in order to identify the most unusual of replacement components or repair time information.
Denso has added 121 original equipment (OE) quality part numbers to its thermal management range. The latest references consist of 39 radiators, 76 condensers and six cabin blowers, which are linked to 342 OE numbers and cover an additional 2,300 vehicles.
TecAlliance has announced a pilot project to enable its official data suppliers to update their product information on a weekly rather than monthly basis. The company is known for the TecDoc electronic replacement parts catalogue. “The relentless globalisation of the industry is putting extra demands on parts brands, particularly for those growing into new sectors or rapidly increasing their product portfolio,” explained Shaun Greasley, TecAlliance’s regional sales director CEE/GB/IE.
Version 3.0 of the TecDoc Catalogue is available in January 2019 in the TecAlliance online shop. The spare parts catalogue is designed to be more user-friendly and intuitive than ever, enabling faster and more precise searches.
TecAlliance might be primarily known by many in the trade for its TecDoc electronic parts catalogue and identification system, but the company recently adapted its systems to provide bespoke solutions for German online used tyre retailer Orbix.
WAIglobal has added a new voltage regulator testing diagnostic tool, the WAI1000, to its extensive rotating electrical range. The new addition tests whether the voltage regulator is in full working order, while eliminating the need to remove the alternator from the vehicle.
TecAlliance growing suite of products now includes parts identification apps. TecAlliance’s Shaun Greasley explained: “With the growing reliance on smart phone technology, parts manufacturers see the importance and the subsequent opportunity, to provide their customers with the information they require when and where they need it.
TecAlliance is encouraging fast fits and workshops active in the tyre fitting side of the service and repair business, to consider the TecDoc electronic parts data system alongside their existing resource information, to gain the widest possible access to comprehensive tyre information, via its ‘Tyredata’ option.
TecDoc UK & Ireland collaborating with DVSE/Topmotive in UK & Ireland, with the aim of becoming the dominant player in the collection and provision of replacement parts data and electronic parts catalogues across these ‘home’ markets.
