Camso has launched seven new construction tyres mainly targeting European applications with five new multi-purpose construction tyres (MPT) and two new radial solutions for grading and earth moving applications.
From 23 to 28 April, 2018, Magna Tyres Group exhibited at Intermat 2018 in Paris, demonstrating a broad range of OTR, Port, and Industrial tyres. The exhibition was an declared an “unsurpassed success” by the company, which also said the experience reaffirmed Magna’s position as the world’s fastest growing OTR tyre company.
On 23 April Alliance Tire Group (ATG) launched its first radial construction OTR tyre range under its Galaxy brand. The range, which was launched at the Intermat exhibition in Paris includes the HTSR 400 E4 and L4 for dump trucks; the LDSR 300 E3 and L3 for wheel loaders; and the MGSR 200 G2 for graders used on uneven surfaces.
Indian OTR tyre manufacturer BKT estimates its global market share at “around six per cent” in the off-highway tyre segment, but following its appearances at major European trade shows Intermat and Sima in 2015, it stated that an increase in market share is one of BKT´s goals in terms of strategic growth. The company aims at a turnover of 2 billion US dollars by 2020; a challenging target based on a positive trend of growth of 30 per cent over the last five years corresponding to six per cent market share in the specialist segments for agriculture, earthmoving, mining, and industrial vehicles and machinery as well as port, ATV and gardening applications. The last financial year ending on March 31, 2014 closed with BKT’s turnover at 780 million US dollars. The company employs more than 7,000 people and sells over 2,300 products in 130 countries worldwide.
Growing manufacturer of off-the-road (OTR), industrial and truck tyres, the Magna Tyres Group used its presence at Intermat to introduce various new tyres for different OTR applications. For construction and mining purposes the company introduced MA10 L5 and M-Terrain E4. The existing tyre pattern MA08 L5 for wheel loaders is from April 2015 also available in tyre size 20.5R25.
BKT is showing three new additions to its Earthmax range at Intermat. Like other tyres in the Earthmax line-up, the Earthmax SR 47, SR 51 and SR 53 are built upon a reinforced all-steel casing and have a tread pattern with rigid, non-directional blocks in order to better distribute load.
A trio of RT-5D sizes enjoying their global debut at the Intermat construction industry show in Paris complete Goodyear’s wheel loader range and fill the remaining gaps in application suitability. A total of five sizes of this level 250 (L5) traction OTR tyre for severe conditions (such as quarries, difficult industrial applications and recycling, open and underground mines) are available following the addition of the new 20.5R25, 23.5R25 and 26.5R25 tyres.
Two new Michelin tyres presented at Intermat 2015 in Paris are said to help worksite operators deliver higher productivity by delivering the “most advanced solutions available”. These tyres are the Michelin XTXL E4 L4, designed for loaders, and the Michelin Bibload Hard Surface, which is designed for backhoe loaders, telehandlers and compact loaders.
The Intermat 2015 exhibition for the construction and materials industries begins today in Paris, and Goodyear reports it will launch its EM Track III tyre management programme at the company’s show stand (F 001, Hal 5a). EM Track III is a Windows-based service tool that is utilised by all Goodyear OTR personnel and aims to lower the total cost of ownership associated with off-the-road tyres. EM Track III can record all tyre-related data and make it available to the customer.
