Kent based engine cleaning company EDT Automotive states that it has improved the performance of more than 12,000 cars in a year, having secured placement of its EDT machines in 45 more locations nationwide. The pay-as-you-go engine and auto transmission detox machines remove harmful deposits from inside the engine left behind in a standard oil change. EDT states this enhances drivability and a reduction in overall CO emissions.
EDT Automotive’s fuel-saving and emissions-reducing technology has once again been recognized with a prestigious industry award, being crowned a ‘Top Product’ award winner in Professional Motor Mechanic Magazine’s 2016 reader poll for its engine decontamination machine.
Multi-award winning engine decontamination specialist, EDT Automotive has enjoyed a “hugely successful” first ever Mechanex show, arranging several product demonstrations with independent garage owners in attendance at the event.
Green Apple award winner, EDT Automotive is preparing to showcase its range of award-winning and highly accredited products to local garages in the North-West of England with a one-off, live presentation taking place at Egerton Garage Ltd in Manchester.
EDT Automotive claims to be one of the first companies of its kind to demonstrate absolute product confidence by offering garage partners and customers the opportunity to leave unbiased and impartial reviews of its service through Trust Pilot.
Green Apple award-winner, EDT Automotive has reported network growth exceeding its mid-year expectations, adding two partners per week. It adds that it has treated nearly 30,000 vehicles to date. Celebrating its 3rd anniversary this month, EDT has recently expanded the business to include garages in Coventry, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol and Newcastle. The business is now seeking partners in Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, North and West Wales and Central Scotland.
Kent-based engine detox specialist EDT Automotive has turned over £1m since launching in 2013, generating £2.5m in additional aftersales turnover for franchised dealers and high end independent garages.
EDT managing director, David Holmes FIMI, said: “To hit the £1m turnover mark is an important milestone. It exceeds what we thought was an ambitious target when we set up the company three years ago. The treatment makes a real difference to fuel economy and drivers are spreading the word via social media. For workshops, our pay-as-you-go model means the up-front costs are minimal. It’s a winner for all involved and good for the environment.”
Engine detox specialist EDT Automotive has agreed to sponsor Kent-based motorsport starlet Fred Ling in the 2016 Autosport International British Trials and Rally Drivers Association (BTRDA) Clubmans Rallycross Championship.
Currently studying A-levels at Homewood School in Tenterden, Ling was named best newcomer in the 2015 series despite missing the first round because he was four days too young. He will celebrate his 17th birthday the day before this year’s Championship begins on March 13th at the Blyton circuit in Lincolnshire
