Alliance Tire Group (ATG), A Yokohama Rubber Corporation group company, has appointed Jason’s Tyres as its Galaxy OTR tyre brand distributor in the Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux) region. An OTR tyre specialist with 20 years of experience, the Jason’s Tyres Extreme division will distribute the entire portfolio of both bias and radial Galaxy OTR tyres in the earthmoving segment with immediate effect.
An all-new Momo tyre range has been developed, with Wheelwright appointed UK distributor for these products. For Benelux markets, wholesale S&H Tyres reports that its VDR Autobanden bvba subsidiary will exclusively distribute the Momo tyre and rim line-up.
Jürgen Titz has taken on further responsibilities within Goodyear’s European organisation. In addition to his role as group managing director of Goodyear Dunlop’s DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) organisation, a position held since June 2015, Titz has now taken on responsibility for passenger car tyre sales in the Europe Central region. This recently enlarged sales territory includes the three Benelux markets as well as the DACH countries. This region, or ‘hub’ in Goodyear Dunlop parlance, is a different entity to the Goodyear Dunlop Central Europe cluster, the tyre maker adds.
A plan announced by Hankook Tire and Schmitz Cargobull last year to develop aftermarket trailer tyre business has been extended by a new agreement that makes Profile Tyrecenter Corporation the trailer manufacturer’s tyre service partner in the Benelux region.
OBO Tyres has acquired the exclusive distribution rights for the OTR brand MTP Tyres in the Benelux region. The brand offers new tyres for a wide range of applications, including articulated dump trucks, graders, loaders, cranes, and dump trucks. OBO states that the distribution rights fills a gap in its portfolio of products for its extended home market.
