Following on from the first day of the Automechanika trade fair, a ceremony took place last night to honour the Automechanika Innovation Award 2022 winners. In addition to eight recipients taking home an accolade for excellence in a particular category, the organiser bestowed a Green Award upon the product judged to be especially sustainable.
After its cancellation in 2020, The Tire Cologne has made a long-awaited return. The trade fair took place in its namesake city this week, and organiser Koelnmesse says the strength of the 2022 event confirms its position as the “leading international platform of the global tyre and wheel industries.”
Originally scheduled to take place between 17 and 19 August this year, the 18th edition of the China International Tire Expo (CITEXPO) has been postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis. The tyre and wheel trade fair is now scheduled to return to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center between 16 and 18 August 2021.
The next SIMA agricultural trade show will take place in February 2021 rather than in November 2020, as originally planned. The organisers rescheduled the Paris-based fair to 21-25 February 2021 “at the request of a large number of exhibitors and organisations from the agricultural machinery industry whose production and distribution activities have been hit hard by today’s public health and economic crisis.”
No comment yet from organiser Koelnmesse, so perhaps it is too early to speculate on the fate of this year’s The Tire Cologne. Officially it is business with usual, with around 600 companies and brands expected to display their wares between 9 and 12 June. But with the show just three months’ away, Koelnmesse must decide its response to a new decree that restricts large events.
Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel producer, has announced its participation in next month’s Reifen show. The company can be found in Hall 12.1, at Stand D24 during the exhibition, which will be held alongside Automechanika Frankfurt between 11 and 15 September.
Nexen Tire has announced four world premieres to be presented on its 370sqm booth at The Tire Cologne (Hall 6, Stand A-010 B-019) between 29 May and 1 June, 2018. Two of the new products will be the successor to the N´Fera SU1, the new N´Fera Sport, and the Winguard Sport 2 SUV.
Reifen China, which is described as “the trade fair for the Asian tyre market” is ready to run from 1 to 3 December 2016. The show is being held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in the Pudong area of the city.
Reifen China, which is organised by China United Rubber Corporation and Messe Essen will present wheels, tyres, repair material, valves, garage equipment and accessories amongst other products.
