Customised Trelleborg tyres for Valtra’s anniversary T Series

Trelleborg Wheel Systems is celebrating the 70th anniversary of tractor and agricultural machinery manufacturer Valtra with its tyre personalisation service, YourTire. Among the initiatives to honour Valtra’s milestone, Trelleborg has employed YourTire to create bespoke TM1060 tyres with Valtra’s anniversary logo. These tyres will be fitted to a limited-edition version of the Valtra T Series tractor released to celebrate the occasion.

STARCO dual wheels now an option for Valtra tractors

Around 30 years ago, tractor manufacturer Valtra implemented a radical strategic change that resulted in the production of machinery that is amongst the most customisable in the world. Pretty much every Valtra tractor is unique, and a third of the approximately 9,000 Valtra tractors manufactured last year went through a customising studio called Unlimited. Now, for the first time, buyers can select STARCO dual wheels on their new tractor as part of this customisation process.

Valtra A Series: Continental returns as an agricultural OEM supplier

As of next month, the Valtra A Series tractor will be available with Continental tyres as original equipment. AGCO’s homologation of the Tractor70 and Tractor85 hands Continental its very first agricultural tyre original equipment approval since its return to the segment late last year. Continental agricultural tyres are already available from Valtra Unlimited Studio, the manufacturer’s in-house customisation workshop that fits accessories and equipment not available directly from the production line.

Nokian-equipped Valtra ploughs snow at 73.171 km/h

Nokian Tyres and Valtra have set the world record for snow removal with an autonomous tractor. The speed record was set in March 2018 using an unmanned Valtra T254 Versu tractor equipped with Nokian Hakkapeliitta TRI tyres. Operated without a driver, the tractor ploughed snow on a closed road in Southern Finland at 73.171 km/h (45.466 mph).

YourTire – Trelleborg offers sidewall personalisation to Valtra customers

A joint project by Trelleborg and AGCO tractor brand Valtra brings customisation to tyre sidewalls. By adding the Trelleborg YourTire service to the Valtra Unlimited Configurator, customers can personalise their Trelleborg tyres when they configure their Valtra tractor, adding their own name or the Valtra logo to the sidewall. The YourTire collaboration was unveiled at Agritechnica 2017.

Valtra sets new tractor speed record on Nokian Tyres

Nokian Tyres and Valtra have combined their expertise to set a new record for tractors, clocking 130.165km/h (80.88mph) on a snowy and icy road in Finnish Lapland. Multiple World Rally champion, Juha Kankkunen drove the Valtra T234, which ran on the world’s first winter tyre for tractors, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta TRI (440/80R28 151D & 540/80R38 167D).
