Tarsus Group introduces Tyrexpo Asia Thailand

The BITEC exhibition venue in Bangkok will host a Tyrexpo Asia event in Thailand from 2022. According to the event organisers, Tarsus Group, the idea is to keep running the existing Tyrexpo Asia Singapore exhibition during odd years and introduce the Bangkok edition during even years. As a result, there will be a Tyrexpo Asia event running annually. The inaugural Bangkok edition will be run 27-29 April 2022 roughly five months after Tyrexpo Asia Singapore, which is scheduled for 17-19 November 2021.

Tarsus Group appoints Sapphire Media as agent for Tyrexpo Asia 2021

Following its recent acquisition of the TyreXpo series of events from Singapore based organiser – SingEx Holdings in December 2019, B2B Media Group Tarsus is already preparing for the Tyrexpo Asia 2021 Show in Singapore in 12 months’ time. To this effect Tarsus are currently appointing Agent Partnerships with various companies and business specialists in Europe and throughout the world to promote the event and attract both exhibitors and visitors.

Tyrexpo Africa postponed due to coronavirus

SingEx Exhibitions has postponed its forthcoming Tyrexpo Africa trade as a result of concerns relating to the coronavirus. As a result, the event will now take place 4-6 August 2020 at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Tyrexpo sold to Tarsus Group

TyreXpo Asia 2019

Tarsus Group has acquired the TyreXpo series of events from Singapore-based organiser, SingEx. According to the company, the acquisition adds “a complementary brand to the automotive events in the Tarsus portfolio and gives the group access to an adjacent market”. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Tyrexpo India 2017

Following shows in Chennai in 2015 and New Delhi in 2016, Tyrexpo India 2017 will open next week in Chennai alongside the inaugural GarageXpo India 2017. This latest edition of the Tyrexpo India Series will be presented between 11 and 13 July and visitors can expect several features including the established TyreTalk and GarageTalk seminars.

Tyrexpo UK cancelled

Tyrexpo UK organisers Singex have decided to cancel this year’s event due to the “current uncertain climate”. The announcement was made in a letter to partners – including Tyres & Accessories – which expressed the company’s disappointment and apologies that this decision was necessary.

Tyrexpo and GarageXpo set for October launch

Tyrexpo UK 2017 will be staged in Hall 7 of the NEC in Birmingham between 4 and 5 October, with around 3,500 square metres of floor-space. Hosted by SingEx Exhibitions of Singapore, it becomes the latest show to form part of the firm’s event portfolio of tyre and automotive related exhibitions. SingEx currently stages ongoing bi-annual tyre shows in Singapore and Johannesburg, South Africa along with yearly events in India (Delhi and Chennai) and the company is now turning its attention on the UK market.

Tyre Industry Award winners 2016

The Tyre Industry Awards have been presented for 2016 during the sold-out NTDA Annual Dinner, this year hosted by the Vox Conference Centre on the site of Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre. In addition to the various gongs, the NTDA presented Sir Tom Farmer with the National Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Tyre Industry, sponsored by Hankook UK, while Brian Funnell and Lennie Wells were also made NTDA Honorary Life Members. Presented by television personality Suzi Perry, the winners were decided by a panel of leading industry judges, and the results live-tweeted by Tyrepress via its Twitter feed.

Hämmerling sees ‘excellent opportunities’ in Africa

German wholesaler the Hämmerling Group reports a positive response at this month’s Tyrexpo Africa show in Johannesburg, with considerably more dealers, wholesalers and forwarding agents visiting the Hämmerling stand during the three exhibition days. A focus for Hämmerling at Tyrexpo Africa was its Athos and Mäxx truck tyres, Talas steel truck rims and Sämm truck retreads.
