Anyone who struggles to remember names won’t only dread pre-dinner drinks and small talk, they’ll also have a tough time keeping abreast with the agricultural tyre market. Recent years have seen brands appear and reappear in all segments, presenting no small challenge to anyone struggling to keep tabs on who is doing what. But a name worth committing to memory is Maxam. We caught up with the latest from the Maxam Tire team at Agritechnica this week.
Speciality tyre manufacturer Maxam Tire has introduced the MS925 LIFTXTRA. The manufacturer has developed the construction tyre to deliver the superior strength and stability required for aerial work platforms. Available in six core market sizes ranging from 15-625 to 445/50D710, the LIFTXTRA has been designed to be dependable in all ground conditions.
Further strengthening its portfolio for the construction industry, Maxam Tire has added four all-steel radial patterns to its construction tyre line-up. Introducing the MS901R, MS906R, MS907R, and MS917R, Maxam Tire says the quartet deliver the “superior advantages required for skid steer, backhoe, and compact wheel loader applications.”
The latest release from Maxam Tire aims to help farmers and growers preserve crops and protect soil. The D-rated implement I-3 Maxam MS962R AgilXtra flotation tyre is available in seven sizes and is manufactured to provide the “longest treadwear, increased stability, and improved resistance to field hazards.”
Maxam Tire has completed its core size range for four-wheel drive self-propelled nutrient applicators with new additions to the AgriXtra H line-up. The tyre maker says the enlarged range allows it to “further improve farmers’ and growers’ productivity for fertilising seasons to come.”
Maxam Tire has brought its EcoPoint3 technology to the material handling sector with the introduction of the MS600 press-on solid tyre. The Sailun Group specialty tyre business considers the use of this new rubber compounding technology a transformative step that provides an “unrivalled solution” for users of forklift tyres.
Maxam Tire has expanded its construction tyre portfolio with an all-new telehandler tyre produced in the company’s recently-inaugurated solid tyre factory in Vietnam. It’s called the Maxam MS709, and Maxam says it has engineered the tyre to “provide the industry with a rugged and long-lasting solution for demanding construction applications.”
A new team has been set up within Maxam Tire to handle the specific requirements of customers in the open pit mining segment. Maxam Mining Group (MMG) is made up of team members across multiple continentals who are tasked with serving regional market demands. It is headed by Matt Johnson, who has been appointed the operation’s vice president.
Martin West retired as global president of Maxam Tire International Limited. He left the Sailun Group company at the end of last month and has been succeeded by Troy Kline. The president of Maxam Tire North America has assumed full responsibility for European operations.
The recent signing of a long-term supply agreement between Maxam Tire International and STARCO will allow the latter to extend its wheel and tyre product range for the growing agricultural segment. The agricultural trailer and implement products supplied by Maxam will primarily consist of tyres with higher than standard speed and load ratings; these will be paired with STARCO rims and offered to OEMs as complete wheel solutions.
Jed Soar has joined Maxam Tire International as applications and field service engineer. His appointment at Maxam follows that of Mark Turner, who from the start of June has held the position of senior product marketing manager – agricultural tyres.
Maxam Tire International Limited has appointed a new senior product marketing manager. Shaul Nuri brings more than three decades of tyre industry experience to the position, and will focus on developing Maxam market share in the agricultural tyre segment with the Agrixtra and Flotxtra ranges. Shaul will also provide input into Maxam’s other core segments, OTR and construction.
