DAF has awarded Goodyear the highest ‘Master’ rating in its 2022 Supplier Performance Management Program. This is the second consecutive year that DAF has recognised Goodyear with its most prestigious supplier accolade.
Truck manufacturer DAF recently recognised Goodyear as a ‘Master’ in its 2021 Supplier Performance Management Program. This is the first time that Goodyear has reached this level, and the tyre maker attributes the achievement to the ”work and dedication of its teams who constantly seek to improve the total customer experience year over year.” It particularly praises its teammates for maintaining Goodyear’s “high standards of operational excellence” despite a disruptive macro environment.
Premium commercial vehicle braking brand Textar has launched a new brake pad kit for DAF applications. Featuring original equipment (OE) Pro TecS technology, the new pad – part number 2927804 – comes complete with an OE approved accessory kit and features a wear indicator, heatshield and retaining clips.
Some of Europe’s best truck drivers will gather at the Goodyear proving grounds in Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg on September 28 and 29, 2019. They will compete in the 2019 International DAF Driver Challenge Final. With the event, DAF states it is promoting the skilled and demanding profession supported by its partners Goodyear and Dekra. In total more than 1000 candidates from 30 countries across Europe and beyond registered to compete in the national competitions from March to September.
Arconic has announced that its Alcoa forged aluminium wheels have received a quality achievement award from PACCAR for meeting or exceeding stringent 10 parts per million (PPM) quality performance requirements. Arconic achieved 0 PPM in 2016 for deliveries to DAF, a subsidiary of PACCAR, reflecting excellence in every step of the manufacturing process, forging to finishing to packaging.
Customers putting TBF Thompson’s new DAF XF 510 demonstrator through its paces are experiencing the top-spec tractor’s on-road performance fitted to Michelin tyres. The County Antrim-based DAF dealer selected 315/70 R 22.5 steer and drive tyres from Michelin’s X Multi ‘regional’ range as a factory-fitted option for its latest demonstrator.

Goodyear’s new Super Fuelmax prototype truck tyres will be on show at the IAA commercial vehicle show 2016 in Hanover. The prototype steer and drive tyres, which are rated A in rolling resistance on the EU tyre label, will be fitted to one of the trucks on display at the DAF stand, which all stand out in highest fuel efficiency. The Super Fuelmax S steer tyre in size 385/55R22.5 and Super Fuelmax D drive tyre in size 315/70R22.5 are a further development of the low rolling resistance Goodyear Fuelmax range.

Operators ordering new DAF trucks built from week 41 onwards can now specify Goodyear Ultra Grip Max S steer tyres and Ultra Grip Max D drive tyres in sizes 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5.
