Noting the more extreme UK climate, Landsail has built a cold weather range for the market, led by its Landsail 4Seasons all-season tyre, while also providing options for British drivers considering more specialist winter tyres for the first time.
As the UK’s leading economy brand, Landsail has also produced models for the 4×4/SUV sector with its CLV1 and CLV2 patterns from its highly automated, Industry 4.0 Qingdao Sentury Tire plant. Both patterns are designed to give SUV drivers improved all-weather grip and added durability for both on road and off road surfaces.
Landsail leapt to prominence as a brand in Europe via a set of very impressive tyre label ratings for its winter tyres; its success in the UK since is well documented, and the Sentury Tire brand now supplies a new range of seasonal products to European markets. Designed with advanced groove patterns and high performance traction levels, Landsail’s cold weather range for Europe comprises the Winter Star high performance, 4×4 and SUV pattern; the Winter Lander car tyre; and the Snow Star van tyre.
Landsail Tyres has refreshed its brand, targeting both the trade and public. The brand is seeking consolidation having become a high-selling brand in the UK market; it states the brand identity will “re-affirm Landsail’s position… by showcasing [its] exceptional value for money.” The brand, produced by China’s Sentury Tire, has grown quickly, with a range spanning over 250 sizes, most recently including Landsail’s first venture into the all-season market, offering comprehensive coverage for the UK market, in which sales are thought to have reached 1.2 million. Landsail itself states that it supplies “one in every 25 tyres sold in the UK.”
