Vipal Rubber starts production at Argentina tread rubber factory

Following US$20 million of investment, Vipal Rubber has started production at its new tread rubber and pre-cured tread factory in Argentina. Located in the Perez, province of Santa Fe, Argentina, the new factory will supply the Argentine and export markets.

Vipal: Optimism returning to Europe’s retreading sector

It’s almost eight months since the European Commission made its final decision regarding anti-dumping duties on new and retreaded truck and bus tyres manufactured in China, and Vipal Rubber is celebrating what it considers an “upturn in the tyre retreading market in Europe.”

Vipal Rubber showing new treads, tyre monitoring platform at The Tire Cologne

During the four days of The Tire Cologne, Vipal rubber will introduce two new treads. These are the VM729 and VDE2. The retread manufacturer comments with pride that both treads have very recently been granted 3PMSF ‘snowflake symbol’ certification.

Schmidt becomes Vipal Rubber general manager in Europe

Vipal Rubber has appointed Frederico Schmidt as its new European general manager. Having previously worked in Vipal’s United States branch after being transferred from the company’s Brazilian headquarters, Schmidt has been with the retreading products manufacturer for 15 years.

Rigon has been part of the Vipal team for over 20 years. He began his career in the company as a technician in the Brazilian market in 1995. With a degree in sales and marketing, he also has more than 15 years’ experience in the international market

Vipal Rubber signs retread manufacturing joint venture with Mezcla Caucho

Vipal brand hot retreading products will be manufactured in Spain thanks to a new joint venture started by the South American market leader and Mezclas Caucho. Not only is this a first in Europe; the JV’s production line will be the first anywhere in the world for Vipal outside its domestic Brazilian market. The agreement was officially signed during Reifen 2016, the world’s largest tyre trade show, which was held in May in Essen, Germany. It adds to Vipal’s increased activities in Europe, marked by sustained expansion over recent years.
