The Firestone tyre brand has teamed up with music events company Sofar Sounds to host five secret concerts in February and March 2018 in different cities across Europe. Bridgestone Europe views this partnership as “an opportunity for Firestone and Sofar Sounds to promote their shared mission,” namely to “support emerging musical talent and create an authentic music experience for artists and fans alike.”
This summer, Firestone is hitting the road to bring musicians and music lovers together, featuring festival appearances at Download in Leicestershire from 9 to 11 June and Vantastival in Drogheda, Ireland on 3 and 4 June. The brand will be at both with the Firestone Stage, Car-aoke Van and other activations.
Firestone’s Battle of the Bands talent search is back. The Bridgestone second line tyre brand is seeking the most talented bands in the UK, culminating in a performance on the Firestone Stage at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on 7 December. The social networking-based campaign will be run in partnership with the arena and Professional Music Technology (PMT), which will provide music equipment as an invaluable additional prize to the winning act.
Birmingham act Rituals was crowned the overall winners of Firestone’s recent Battle of the Bands. The competition saw four unsigned music acts play to a national audience, starring on the Barclaycard Arena stage in Birmingham.
The band can now look forward to a series of sets on the Barclaycard Arena Unsigned Stage along with personalised Marshall amplifiers and music equipment, in a huge breakthrough for musicians Jo Berry, Jake Peal, Corey Deards, Andy Lowe and Dan Lovatt.
