Towards the end of April, tyre servicing equipment supplier Martins has recently acquired UK company Checkpoint, which is known for its wheel security products. Checkpoint has 30 years of experience in the market that began with founder, CEO and inventor Mike Marczynski.
Martins Industries has welcomed its latest team member. Marty the robot just started his career as the company’s official internal tour guide. The company reports that it decided to develop the Marty the robot program following “multiple requests” from our sales force and customers to see where and how our products are being manufactured.
Following the company’s recent acquisition of high-precision tyre balancing solution Magnum+, Martins Industries sent the system’s tempered glass beads to TÜV SÜD for testing. The tests were performed in December 2019 and the results that came later in January have confirmed that Magnum+ is approved for safety of the tyre, valves, TPMS.
Martins Industries has integrated Magnum+ into its brand portfolio of tyre equipment and products by acquiring M & R Tire Products. According to the company, Magnum+ is a brand of high-precision tyre balancing beads that are described as “a revolutionary alternative to traditional wheel weight balancing”.
Martins Industries has opted to extend customer service hours in order to “better meet the need of our customers”. From 7 August this service is available Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm EST and Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 5pm EST.
Martins Industries has launched a new 96-inch TOR tyre inflation cage. According to the company, it has been designed, tested and manufactured to exceed OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910.177) for inflation to 130 PSI.
“The MIC-OTR-96 is designed to safely retain an explosion of agricultural, Off-the-road and all other types of tyres of up to 96-inches in diameter. This heavy-duty, high quality inflation safety cage is fabricated with added reinforcements on each side and at the base of the cage which makes it the safest OTR bar cage on the market.” explains Martin Dépelteau, VP Sales and Development.
Tyre racking and equipment firm, Martins Industries has appointed Anthony Adams as a technical representative for Western USA. Adams is a Nebraska University business graduate with years of experience in sales. He joins a “young and dynamic team” at Martins Industries.
