Last week’s Automechanika Garage of the Year saw Garage Wire arrange a dinner and awards evening for nearly 200 people at the National Motorcycle Museum on Wednesday 5 June. Avia Autos won the overall award and the £1,000 cheque whilst nine category winners were recognised too.
Automechanika Birmingham has opened today. The show, which aims to bring together professionals within the automotive aftermarket and vehicle production sector in the UK and Ireland, was opened by mechanic and motorcycle racer turned television presenter, Guy Martin at the NEC Birmingham (Halls 18-20). More than 500 exhibitors will take part, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations and product launches in the aftermarket and vehicle production industry. The tyre segment is represented with stands for Yokohama and the National Tyre Distributors Association.
Automechanika Birmingham’s Garage of the Year competition is now open for entries. Sponsored by the Independent Garage Association (IGA) and run in partnership with Garage Wire, the competition is open to garages from across the UK and Ireland. Entries can be made online at Garage Wire, but must be submitted before the deadline of 26 April 2019.
