Trouble flared when their invoice factoring provider blocked access to funds without notice. “We were trading at only around 30 per cent of our agreed facility,” said EDT founder and managing director David Holmes. “Yet we suddenly couldn’t access our own funds.
EDT Automotive, the engine decontamination specialist, is encouraging garages to advise their customers of the benefits of keeping their vehicles’ transmissions clean. According to managing director David Holmes: “There are plenty of fluids running throughout your vehicle, each one working to keep the car in running condition. One of the most important fluids to keep track of, however, is your transmission fluid.”
Last week’s Automechanika proved to be “invaluable” for EDT Automotive, as the award-winning engine decontamination specialist signed up eight garages live on the stand over the course of the three-day event, with more to follow-up on. The automotive aftermarket exhibition offered the EDT team a unique opportunity to interact with garage owners from locations right across the UK and Ireland. With the engine decontamination machine on hand for demonstration purposes, EDT states that its stand was “a hive of activity”.
Pictures of a broken timing chain tensioner, extracted during an EDT Automotive engine clean, reveal the hidden contaminants lurking in our engines. The fragments were caught in the EDT engine cleaning machine’s filter, which is renowned for collecting up to half a litre of black sludge containing carbon, metallic particles and other contaminants.
