The off-the-road (OTR) segment is historically strong for Triangle Tyre. The China-based brand has recorded sustained and continuous growth around the world since it produced its first radial OTR tyre in November 2002, gaining a stronghold in the sector in Europe. The tyre-maker has achieved this by securing original equipment fitments with a wide range of manufacturers, demonstrating its ability to produce tyres for many OTR specialisms; it is a global supplier to Caterpillar, as well as supplying such construction and mining equipment makers as Komatsu and Liebherr. It has also built a network of professional distributors across Europe.
Triangle Tyre and RH Claydon are exhibiting at Hillhead Digital 2021, the UK largest quarrying and construction exhibition. Triangle is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of off the road (OTR) tyres. RH Claydon is its official distributor for this segment in the UK. RH Claydon and Triangle are jointly welcoming visitors to their virtual booth between 15 and 31 March 2021. The booth displays Triangle’s complete portfolio of OTR tyres through pictures, videos and product presentations, ready to be downloaded at any time from the portal. The staff of both companies will be present on 30 and 31 to participate in live chats with visitors who have booked a meeting through the agenda in the portal.
RH Claydon has today become the exclusive UK distributor of Triangle truck and bus and off the road tyres. The change of distributor for the brand follows Tym International’s decision to cease trading on 30 October. The specialist tyre importer-wholesaler, in which Triangle took a strategic holding in 2013, announced its liquidation in early September. Tym’s managing director, Steve Eke, has since been appointed UK & Ireland sales director of Triangle Tyre Europe. The Chinese tyre manufacturer, among the country’s top five according to Tyrepress data, set up a new European team headquartered in Milan in 2017 under general manager Corrado Moglia. Commencing its distributorship, RH Claydon stated that it looks forward to building a strong relationship with the brand.
