Interstate Tire & Rubber Co. has expanded its winter tyre product offering with the addition of over 100 new sizes and the release of three new product lines. According to the company, the total winter tyre range offers now 12 different lines with over 310 unique sizes.

Bridgestone has won the ‘Deutscher Mediapreis 2014’ award in Germany for its launch of the Adrenalin RE002 urban sports tyre in 2013. The tyre maker’s ‘Ultimate Experience’ launch event was voted top in the ‘Media Idea of the Year: brand experience/event’ category. The award was received by representatives of international media agency PHD Germany and OMG Fuse, agency for brand staging and social media, on behalf of Bridgestone Europe at the Mediapreis awards ceremony in Munich on 6 March.

As a supporter of breast cancer awareness campaigns, Kumho Tires is participating in the 'Pink Ribbon Love Marathon'. Earlier, in June, Kumho Tires held a new product launch presentation held at an aircraft hanger at Seoul’s Incheon International Airport, where it also signed an agreement with the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation to support the Pink Ribbon Campaign, a programme designed to promote the importance of breast health, a regular breast self-exam and early detection. The campaign is run by Korea Breast Cancer Foundation, established in 2000 as Korea's first non-profit foundation dedicated to breast health.

Chicago Pneumatic has launched two new handle sanders. The CP7220H and CP7250H series handle sanders combine power, comfort and greater productivity with low noise and low vibration. The power of the new sanders is delivered by a 0.3hp oil-free motor, the most powerful in its class. Given that the sander is a very lightweight, at only 0.9kg, the impressive power-to-weight ratio means minimal operator fatigue and greater productivity. The adjustable speed regulator (from 0 to 12 000 rpm) provides the operator with a wide range of speed options depending on the application. Other benefits include a special speed control lever, with air shut off when in the closed position, which reduces the risk of accidental start-up and the special oversized hub bearing with dust seal promotes a long service life.

Goodyear Assurance Gets First OE Fitments

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has announced that its premium auto tyre, the Assurance featuring ComforTred Technology, has been chosen as original equipment for its 2006 Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum R/T and Dodge Charger R/T models. Goodyear’s supply of ComforTred tyres for these high-image cars represents the first original equipment position for the tyre line, regarded as the most successful new product launch in the company’s history.
