Bernard Schäferbarthold’s (48) management contract was extended by five years until 31 October 2024. Hella, the global automotive supplier, has opened a second electronics plant in India. The new production facility in Mehsana, India, north of the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, will meet the growing demand for electronic components and strengthen proximity to its local customers.

Hella, a global automotive supplier, has concluded the first six months of its fiscal year 2018/2019 (June 1 to November 30, 2018) with positive sales and earnings despite a challenging market environment. After approval by the antitrust authorities responsible, both companies were transferred to the Swedish wholesaler Mekonomen.
