Derby County Football Club announced today that Avon Tyres has become the Rams’ official shirt sponsor for the upcoming 2017-18 Sky Bet Championship season. As part of a multi-year agreement, the Avon Tyres logo will take pride of place on the front of all of Derby’s first-team kits for the forthcoming campaign.
Avon Tyres held its first Mascot Challenge, celebrating its English football club sponsorships. Derby County’s Rammie, Swindon Town’s Rockin Robin and Bristol Rovers’ Captain Gas competed against each other in a series of fun physical tests featuring Avon tyres. Derby County has made Avon Tyres its back of shirt and shorts sponsor for the upcoming 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship season. The sponsorship agreement means the Avon Tyres logo will appear on the back of the Rams’ first-team shirts and shorts for the entire campaign. Avon initially teamed up with the club in February 2016 to become the Rams’ Official Tyre Partner. The brand says it opted to increase its involvement for the new season due to the success of the partnership.
Avon Tyres will become the Official Tyre of Everton Football Club in the Barclays Premier League 2016/17 season, with three other partnerships giving the brand exposure at every professional level of the sport in the UK. The brand joins its sister Cooper brand in football sponsorship, the latter having been the Official Tyre of Arsenal for the last two seasons.
