Ding Mu appointed chairman of Triangle Tyre

At a meeting of its Board of Directors held on 15 June, two days after the passing of company chairman Mr Ding Yuhua, Mr Ding Mu was elected the new chairman of Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd. He also became, with immediate effect, the company’s legal representative according to its Articles of Association.

Triangle mourns chairman Ding Yuhua

Ding Yuhua, Triangle Tyre’s chairman, died on 13 June 2018 at the age of 70. In addition to running the large Chinese tyre manufacturer, Ding Yuhua, was deputy to the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Chinese National People’s Congress, deputy to the 8th and 9th Shandong Provincial People’s Congress, member of Weihai People’s Congress Standing Committee and senior vice president of China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA).

Triangle Tyre selects site for USA factory project

An announcement made yesterday confirms Kingsboro (Edgecombe County), North Carolina as the site for the new Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd. plant in the United States. Sharing news of the project, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper stated that Triangle intends to invest nearly US$580 million in the area.

Triangle holds “2017 Global Summit”

Triangle Tyre held its “2017 Global Summit” in the coastal city of Rongcheng – China, not far from the firm’s headquarters in Weihai between 27 and 29 June. The Global Summit’s aim was to foster and strengthen relationships with worldwide business partners, share the next stages of the companies’ evolution and in particular the targeted acceleration of the company’s presence in the global market.

Triangle Tyre joins the “63-inch” club

The 63-inch OTR radial is a standard fitment on many large mining vehicles, yet the limited customer base for these behemoths and the complexities involved in their production means only a handful of tyre makers deal with this particular tyre size. The list of 63-inch OTR tyre manufacturers may be a short one, but one further name has now been added – Triangle.

Triangle opens US HQ in Tennessee

Triangle Tire’s Triangle Tire USA division is establishing its North American headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee. At the same time, the company announced that it has appointed ex-Bridgestone Americas executive Manny Cicero as its CEO. Following his time at Bridgestone, more recently Cicero has worked as an industry consultant.

Cohade returns to the tyre industry as Triangle’s CEO

Career Tracks

The former head of Goodyear’s Asia Pacific business has joined Triangle Tyre Co. Ltd as its new chief executive officer. He began in this role in April 2015 and will work towards further globalising the tyre maker’s activities – indeed, Triangle Tyre states that the French national’s appointment to the role shows the company’s “confidence and determination” to globalise. Ding Yuhua will continue to serve as Triangle Tyre’s chairman of the board.
