GSF Car Parts has continued its rolling branch refurbishment programme with Derby being the latest location to gain an upgrade, following improvements to Smethwick last month. The Derby site is located on London Road, near Pride Park; it’s less than a mile from the city centre, with strong walk-in retail counter sales. The branch employs a total of 10 staff and has 5 delivery vans servicing a thriving trade customer base with regular local deliveries.
Dunlop Tyres has helped to design and deliver an in-depth training course in conjunction with National Tyres and Autocare Centres (NTA). Aimed at NTA’s assistant branch managers, the course is the first of its kind, focusing solely on developing assistant branch managers in NTA’s centres nationwide. There has not previously been a training course which offers such in-depth and wide-ranging training for the assistant branch managers.
National motor factor GSF Car Parts held an open evening on 14 July at its Tottenham branch, attended by more than 200 people from a thriving local trade customer base. Having opened three years ago, the branch is one of the network’s top performing outlets.
Car parts distributor Euro Car Parts (ECP) has opened its 16th Scotland branch in Dumfries, taking on a staff of 20. The 8,600sqft (799sqm) unit, which has a trade and retail counter, along with an additional mezzanine floor, has been leased from a private investor for a term of ten years.
Chemix Autocentres has appointed Neil Rushton as its new Halesowen branch manager. Rushton has over 20 years’ experience in the tyre industry, including 13 years with Chemix as senior commercial tyre technician.
