Birla Carbon Americas raises prices

International News

Birla Carbon will increase prices on all products produced in the Americas by US$170 per metric tonne effective 1 July 2021. All shipments made on or after this date are subject to the price increase. Birla Carbon’s announcement follows a 97 euros per metric tonne EMEA price increase published on 24 May and effective 1 June 2021.

On 3 July 2018 Birla Carbon, an Aditya Birla Group company, renamed all of its entities worldwide as “Birla Carbon.” As a result former Columbian Carbon and Thai Carbon Black business will now be known as Birla Carbon.

Linglong Tire signs carbon black agreement with Aditya Birla Group

India’s Aditya Birla Group is now Linglong Tire’s carbon black supplier. The Chinese tyre maker reports the signing of agreement with Aditya Birla subsidiary Thai Carbon Black Public Co. Ltd. on 4 April at a ceremony attended by Wang Feng, president of Linglong Tire, Sanjeev Sood, president of Thai Carbon Black Public, and Amit Saini, the Birla Group company’s vice-president of sales and marketing.

On 25 March 2017, Linglong International Tire (Thailand) Co., Ltd. entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with India’s Aditya Birla Group. At a signing ceremony attended by Dr Santrupt Misra, chief executive officer of Aditya Birla Group’s carbon black business, Sanjeev Sood, president of Birla Carbon in Thailand, and Wang Feng, chairman and president of Linglong Tire, the two parties committed to a strategic cooperation that will see Aditya Birla Group become Linglong Tire’s carbon black supplier.
