Trelleborg will display its new virtual reality app at EIMA International 2016 in Bologna between 9 and 13 November on stand A1, Hall 14. The company says the app gives users to see Trelleborg’s best-in-class agricultural tyres in action. Visitors can also experience the challenges of modern agriculture on-stand with the new Farming Simulator 17 video game, of which Trelleborg is the official partner for agricultural tyres.
Trelleborg has launched a new initiative to tell the stories of successful project implementation from the point of view of its customers. The new Heroes program collects experiences from professional farmers to highlight their issues and how Trelleborg has played a role in solving them. The series launches with the story of Guillaume Agneessens, co-owner of Agri Minon, an agricultural contracting company in Belgium. Agri Minon offers a full service, specialising in sowing, harvesting, spraying, monitoring culture, fragmented records and the PAC statement.
Trelleborg will launch the latest tyre to feature its ProgressiveTraction technology at Agritechnica 2015, on 8-14 November in Hannover, Germany. The TM1060 upgrades Trelleborg’s high performance solution for new generations of tractors, ranging from 80 to over 300 HP. Trelleborg says the range will improve farming efficiency thanks to the double lug ProgressiveTraction tread, which boosts grip and significantly reduces vibrations. Operating on the soil at different times, the double lug progressively increases traction when required. The tyre also has a flexible carcass for homogenous deformation distribution and, absorbing road surface roughness, assures a smoother ride.
Following one-day events in Italy, Sweden, Austria, Poland, France and Spain, Trelleborg concluded its 2015 European Road Show for agricultural tyres at Honingham Thorpe Farm in Colton, Norfolk in the UK on 7 October.
Trelleborg has launched the third episode in its series of 3D animated movies. Designed to appeal to Trelleborg’s agricultural tyre customers and the next generation of farming professionals, the short – titled ‘Space Hops’ – was created using sophisticated 3D animation techniques. In the latest instalment, Trelleborg’s animated cricket character is abducted and finds himself at Trelleborg’s Innovation Space Center. While on board, he assists in the development of the technological features of Trelleborg’s premium radial agricultural tyre. The video, and the previous two installments, can be viewed in the full version of this article.
Trelleborg has announced that the first stop on its 2015 European Road Show for agricultural tyres will be Sissa Trecasali in Parma, Italy on June 5. The one-day event will provide two field demonstrations in which two tractors will compete over a 200 metre track, head-to-head.
Trelleborg’s ProgressiveTraction concept has been a consistent technological eye-opener since its introduction, with European organisations queuing up to bestow awards on the innovation. Now with its arrival as a feature of Trelleborg’s new 70 series radial tyre following stringent testing, the time for the technology to peacock is over, as its application in the field begins. Trelleborg says the TM700 ProgressiveTraction is designed to meet the renewed focus of tractor manufacturers on the performance of middle range tractors and lower overall farming costs.
Having launched to acclaim in 2014, Trelleborg’s ProgressiveTraction technology has continued to impress award judges. The latest addition to the manufacturer’s trophy cabinet is the LAMMA 2015 ‘Best New Product or Innovation (Environmental)’ gong. Sponsored by IAgrE (the Institute of Agricultural Engineers) the award recognises outstanding contributions to agricultural engineering and the associated industries.
