Nexen Tire’s renewal of its Manchester City partnership for a third term sees the tyre manufacturer aim to “further boost co-branding opportunities, media and marketing partnerships, and much more for both parties”. The new deal means Nexen Tire logo will continue to appear on the left sleeve of playing shirts and expand this position to all available City teams and competitions. This will include both men’s and women’s playing kit, men’s training kits, the Elite Development Squad (EDS) and eSports players. Nexen Tire has been supporting Manchester City since 2015 and became the first official sleeve partner in 2017, the first announcement of its kind in the Premier League.
Last season’s engagement with ‘domestic treble’ winner Manchester City F.C. gave Nexen Tire abundant exposure. The tyre maker returns again in 2019/20 as an Official Partner, its fifth season with the club and its third as Sleeve Partner. The current season got underway with a 5-0 win against West Ham last Saturday.
Upon kicking off its sponsorship of Manchester City FC for 2018/19, Nexen Tire states that it plans to continue utilising its relationship with last season’s Premier League champion throughout the game season to “expand its global loyal fan-base by increasing touchpoints for customers to directly engage and experience the Nexen Tire brand.” As was the case in 2017/18, Nexen will continue as official sleeve partner.

The move announced today (17 March 2017) at Manchester City Football Academy, came as Nexen renewed its partnership with the top-flight football club for three more years following the initial contract signed between Nexen and Manchester City (Man City) in August 2015. This takes the sponsorship right up to the 2019/2020 season. No specific financial details were revealed, but Tyres & Accessories understands that the new contract represents “increased investment on the previous deal”, according to Man City chief commercial officer, Tom Glick.
