Goodyear plant gains another Platinum Caterpillar SQEP certification

Goodyear says it is “honoured to receive” a second Platinum certification in the Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP). The tyre maker’s factory in Wittlich, Germany earned these back-to-back awards with the tyres it supplies for Caterpillar compact wheel loaders.

“It is especially rewarding to achieve the Platinum level of certification in the current challenging times,” comments Octavian Velcan, managing director OTR and Aviation for Goodyear EMEA. “The past two years have been marked by fluctuations in demand, evolving customer needs and quest for further efficiency. Being awarded with the highest SQEP certification by Caterpillar year over year, showcases the drive of our teams to go the extra mile every day to deliver the highest quality under all circumstances.”

Caterpillar created the Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) to recognise suppliers who commit to excellence and drive a “zero defects” culture in their business. Certification levels are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
