Following its introduction in February and some subsequent OE announcements, Goodyear has now officially launched the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV. Key features of the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV are its Active Braking; Grip Booster; and SUV-Optimized Construction technologies.

Goodyear SealTech tyres approved for the VW Arteon

Product News

A further original equipment homologation for the VW Arteon has been announced. Size 225/55R17 97W and 245/45R18 96W versions of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 featuring the company’s extended mobility SealTech technology have been approved for OE fitment on the new five-door fastback.

Goodyear/Dunlop dominate ‘sport auto’ tyre test, problems for Vredestein

It’s safe to assume a close technological resemblance between blood relatives the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and Dunlop SportMaxx RT2, even if the first of these is more oriented towards driving safety criteria and the second towards sporting characteristics. The family connection is reflected in the results of a new summer tyre test published by Germany’s ‘sport auto’ magazine. A Ford Focus ST was used for the test of eight size 235/40 R18Y tyres. The Goodyear tyre was crowned the winner and shared a rating of ‘particularly recommended’ with its Dunlop cousin.

Goodyear OE on new Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 has been accredited with OE fitments on the Mercedes- Benz E-Class. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 will be fitted in a range of sizes from 17 to 20 inch rims, section width ranging from 225 to 275, and aspect ratio spanning from 30 to 55. All tyres will be marked ‘MO Extended’ indicating tyres built by Goodyear for Mercedes-Benz as well as providing Goodyear’s Run on Flat technology in all fitments.

Goodyear’s new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 boasts strong improvements in mileage and braking

Goodyear’s latest Ultra High Performance (UHP) tyre offers performance that is a large step ahead of its premium competitors, company representatives explained at the online launch of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 today (23 March 2016).

According to company representatives, who base their claims on extensive testing with TUV Sud and Dekra in addition to in-house research and development, the new tyre outperforms not only its predecessor (the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2), but also the latest comparable tyres produced by Bridgestone, Continental and Michelin in terms of wet braking, dry braking and mileage.

Goodyear launches third generation of flagship ultra-high performance tyre

Goodyear has launched the next generation of its ultra-high performance summer tyre, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3. The tyre is the latest in the Eagle series that has given the manufacturer many test wins and a track record of original equipment homologation. The latest version contains technologies that improve braking, handling and control performance in both dry and wet conditions; characteristics that were benchmark tested independently at TÜV Süd.
