ELTA makes three management appointments

ELTA Automotive Ltd has recruited three experienced aftermarket executives for its senior sales and commercial roles in a bid to further strengthen the team.

In the space of a month, the company has reappointed Stuart Poole as commercial manager (from ATS Euromaster) and Mike Ballinger as its director of sales for Europe, as well as recruiting Craig O’Neil as the director of sales in the UK and Ireland.

ELTA subject of management buyout

ELTA Automotive Ltd has recently been the subject of a management buyout (MBO) with the goal of “making it fit…for its next 25 years”.

This latest development, which was formally agreed on 11 September, sees managing director Ian Hallam, who has worked with ELTA since the company was incorporated 25 years ago, become the company’s co-owner, alongside long-term European partner Luxline spol. s r.o – led by Vladimír Palacka. Ian Hallam and Luxline become equal shareholders of a new holding company, ELTA Investments replacing the previous holding company, Claverdon Fields.

Automechanika Birmingham 2018 provides broad platform for parts, aftermarket, garage sectors

The UK’s leading exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and vehicle production industry, Automechanika Birmingham, welcomed 10,200 industry personnel to its 2018 event. Featuring 500 exhibitors from 26 countries in 9,400sqm of floor space, the organiser stated that more than 120 companies exhibited for the first time, including: AA Garage Guide, Snap-On, Ceramex, GSF Car Parts and Wurth Electronics. Tyres & Accessories joined the National Tyre Distributors Association in representing the UK tyre industry at what was a lively event for the automotive sector, with an emphasis on visitor interaction – a fact underlined by the three in-hall dedicated presentation spaces, in which speakers addressed major issues currently affecting the sector.
