Business Korea writes today that 41 Kumho Tire executives, including chief executive officer Lee Han-seob, intend to resign should Kumho Tire’s creditors sell the share to Doublestar.

Tyrexpo India: 2,000+ visitors to 2017 show
The three-day Tyrexpo India trade fair concluded yesterday, and organiser SingEx Exhibitions reports the attendance of 2,017 trade visitors at the show in Chennai. There they met with close to 80 exhibitors from 30 countries and participated in added-value programmes such as the TyreTalk/GarageTalk seminars and Tyrexpo/GarageXpo technical workshops. Joint developmental work between Shandong Linglong Tire and the Beijing University of Chemical Technology recently bore fruit with the successful production of 3D printed polyurethane tyres. The tyre maker comments that this 3D tyre printing is a first in China.

At its 2017 Supplier Day, Continentals Automotive Group honoured 15 companies with Supplier of the Year awards for their performance during the 2016 production year. Contenders from the more than 2,700 series suppliers whose components Continental used last year were evaluated in the 15 category awards for quality, technology, costs and purchasing conditions and logistics. Customers putting TBF Thompson’s new DAF XF 510 demonstrator through its paces are experiencing the top-spec tractor’s on-road performance fitted to Michelin tyres. The County Antrim-based DAF dealer selected 315/70 R 22.5 steer and drive tyres from Michelin’s X Multi ‘regional’ range as a factory-fitted option for its latest demonstrator.
