UK truck tyre market size shift continues
Tyre manufacturers are reporting that UK truck tyre replacement demand is steadily shifting to 315/70 R22.5 fitments over traditional sizes such as 295/80 R22.5. According to Michelin, which published a statement on the trend on 4 May, the trend is being driven by the growth of Euro VI registrations and “operators realising the total cost of ownership benefits offered”.

Commenting on this decision, Stephan van Leeuwen commented that the Magna Tyres Group is “very proud” of Emerson’s decision to select Magna for its large fleet. The regional sales manager for the UK and Ireland shares that Emerson carried out numerous tests and decided, due to their efficiency and cost per mile, that all tyres demounted from fleet vehicles will be replaced with Magna tyres. Magna Tyres Group will supply Emerson Crane Hire its MA03 crane tyre in size 445/95R25.
